What are you doing to me?

Frank and I were watching Wes Craven's New Nightmare when Ray stormed in, followed by a very sullen Mikey. Frank sat up and patted a place for Mikey in between us on the couch while Ray stomped down the hallway to their room.
"What happened? I thought he proposed." I asked as Mikey sat between Frank and I.
"Well, he did, and I said yes. But, I want to wait until we're 18 or older. He threw a hissy fit and went on and on about wanting to do it in a few weeks, but I think we're too young."
"I told him you guys were, didn't I, Frank? There's no reason why two 16 year olds should tie the knot. It makes no sense. You guys aren't old enough to make conscious decisions like that." If he would've taken my advice or listened to me, then none of this would be happening.


We were quietly watching the ending of the movie when Frank decided to speak up, "so, are you guys fighting now?"
"I guess, he didn't talk to me the rest of the way home and then he stormed off just now without a word to anyone. I explained to him why I want to wait. But he claims that we need to do it now."
"I want to do it now so that we can get it out of the way and not worry about it later on. Yanno, just so that we can skip that part and move right on to the part that comes right after."
Everyone jumped when we heard Ray's voice, we were all expecting him to stay in the room all night.
"I know that, but we're too young, Ray. If we wait until we're at least 18, or even 20, we would still have time to get married and move on the next chapter in our lives before we're 30."
"I don't wanna wait!" he more or less shouted, I saw
Frank tense up and decided to take him away from this situation. It wasn't one that was majorly bad, but, it might still cause him to have an episode.

I grabbed Frank's hand and hugged him toward the bedroom.
"I'm going to go back up there and help Mikes reason with Ray. Is that okay with you, or do you want me to stay down here with you?"
"Go ahead, I don't want them to get married this young, either."
I grinned at how parental he can be at times.

When I walked back into the living room, Mikey was shouting at Ray.
"I don't see why you're so impatient to get married! Honestly!"
"I just want to live in the now. You never know how much time you have left." Ray said quietly, so quiet he was almost silent.

"What are you talking about, Ray? What's going on?" I walked over and placed my hand on his shoulder. He has always been so cautious about making decisions, never before has he wanted to love in the now. He was all about waiting until the time was right.
"Nothing, I just don't want to wait. 'S all."
"Are you sure baby? There's nothing else going on?" Mikey asked stepping closer to Ray, all of the anger he held was now being replaced with worry.
"Yeah, nothing else is wrong. I promise."
I still felt like there was something that wasn't being told, but decided against pressing him for information.

"We'll go and lay down now, Gee. It was a very, ah, draining day." Mikey whispered while he grabbed Ray's hand.

Good god do I hope everything's okay.

Sorry Its really short and shitty; but I have been feeling so sad and invisible lately. I also wanted to post before I got too busy within the next weekend.
