What are you doing to me?

..." I was telling Mark that he got the entire page wrong, but, as usual, freshmen think they... Ray? Are you listening?" I looked over at my boyfriend only to see him zoning out on his homework. I nudged him a little.
"Huh? Oh, yeah, sorry. I got lost in thought" he still didn't look at me.
"Are you okay?"
"Of course, why wouldn't I be?"
"You seem a little off"
"Nah, I'm fine"
"You sure?"
"Ya baby, let's go to sleep now. Okay?"

I nodded and crawled into bed. I still felt like something was wrong with Ray. I mean, I understand that me complaining about a freshman isn't that interesting, but normally he'd be all for listening to me complain. Not to mention his lack of eye contact and distant behavior. I know he wouldn't cheat on me or anything, so that's out of the question. But what is it then?
I decided that it would be best for me to leave it be until he's good and ready. The worst possible thing to do is to pressure him into telling me.
Still feeling sad and uncomfortable I fell asleep.

I woke up before my alarm clock- alone. Normally I would wake up to Ray's loud snores or would feel him next to me, but there was nothing. My heart felt heavy in my chest, this never happened before. Ever. Ray was always by my side in the mornings- even when he would wake up before me.
I know it isn't healthy to expect your partner to be around you 24/7, but I did. I missed him like crazy when he wasn't by my side.
I sighed loudly and walked into the kitchen. I walked in to find Gee and Frank wide awake with notebooks and streamers.
"What are you guys up to?" they jumped at the sound of my voice, but tried to play it off by bouncing their feet.
"Nothin" Gerard replied quickly, making me squint my eyes.
"What are you doing awake so early?" Frank asked, slowly putting the materials away.
"I could ask the same of you two."
" Frank asked you first."
" I woke up and couldn't find Ray, so I came in here to look for him. Now your turn"
"We were just planning for a graduation party." Gerard said, innocently.
My face broke out into a huge smile. "Frank, did your results come in yet?"
He shook his head slowly as Gerard went to put the stuff away. "Not yet. They should be here within the week, though."
"Are you nervous?"
"Hell yeah I'm nervous! If I don't graduate, then that would mean I wasted this school year trying to do something I wasn't capable of."
"I think you're gonna graduate."
He smiled at me softly, "thanks, Mikes."
" 'S what I'm here for. Anyway, have you seen Ray? I'd like to go back to sleep without worrying."
"Naw, man, haven't seen him."
"Oh, okay. I'm going back to sleep. Night"

Where the hell was Ray? I was starting to get moderately worried at his absence.

I rolled over and glanced at my clock, it was 4:37 in the morning. Where the hell is he? This early in the morning?
I groaned and rolled back over, trying to find some comfort in a new position. There was no luck, so I kept tossing and turning until I tired myself out enough to Go back to sleep.
