Summary

Hello! As a writer myself, I know the frustrations of trying to keep a story you share on the internet yours only. My stories have been stolen and ripped off so many times, I can't count them. I've recently seen a lot of popular writers' stories being copied or ripped off from this site. writers that have real talent and have worked very hard to come up with their original story ideas. Some of these writers include Lyra, Join the Masquerade, and Sparrow_Delanuit, amongst others. It is important that people feel their writing is secure and respected, so they continue to share their work with us. Come here to find out about authors that have ripped off other people's stories, or report an incident of story-copying in the comments.

@Gee'sCLUELESSgirl!
especially when the writer is new and their work is more vulnerable because not many people have seen it. it ticks me off that it might turn off a talented person to sharing their work. like, posting something on the internet is risky enough, its not an invitation to steal. we dont need talented people swearing off posting stuff because an asshole decided to copy their work

Thank you. I admit to being INSPIRED by other people's fics, but I'd never copy one.
