Pull Me Out Of This Hole, It's Dark In Here

CHAPTER EIGHT

After I had calmed down and offered Frank some coffee, he went back to his own apartment and I went straight to bed trying to sleep.

I tried to sleep, but every few minutes I had to check my phone.

"Fucking bitch. This is one of these nights." whatever, I'll get a coffee.

I sat on my table sipping down the coffee, staring right in front of me. The dark apartment got me a little nervous, even when I know everything is okay, I still have hallucinations... not anything big or bad, just that I have that weird alien thing hanging from my ceiling and it feel like it's right in front of my eyes.
I've had this condition for so long, but it doesn't feel any more normal to me, it's fucking terrifying.
There's other things too, and that's why I normally can't have my apartment dark.

The alien blinked.

Shit. Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit...

I'm panicking now.
I squeezed my eyes shut holding the coffee mug in front of my face.
"Go away." I whispered to myself, slowly calming down.
I opened my eyes and it was smiling now, that fucking devilish smile, monsters in horror movies have.

"GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME!" I screamed and almost fell from my chair, I threw my coffee all over the kitchen and jumped from my seat, I ran to the bathroom, I quickly clicked the lights on and closed the door in seconds.
"Please don't start to flicker, please don't..." I cried, sitting down on the bathroom floor.

Then out of nowhere I heard a knock, I've been hearing those alot lately.

"Gerard! Are you okay?" I know that voice... it's Frank. This is my chance to get out of here.
I jumped up from the floor opened the bathroom door and grabbed my keys from the table next to the door, and then ran to the door. I was out of the door seeing Frank in front of me looking scared. Then I slammed the door, and waved at Frank.

"Yeah... I'm okay now..." I whispered to Frank, smiling, out of breath. "Hey do you think, that I could come over to your place for tonight?" I asked him.
"Yeah... yeah... okay. Want to tell me what's wrong?" Frank started to walk to his apartment, still looking very concerned.
"I don't want to talk about it, not right now..." I answered honestly, feeling really exhausted.

I ended up crashing on Frank's couch for the night, but I didn't mind because Frank was cute today and he seemed so happy to help me somehow.
