The Boy Next Door...

**Frank POV**

Natalie stops suddenly and says “Were getting close to Gerard’s and we are already late I’m going to get him a coffee and treat to be in his good graces again want anything?” I just shake my head no despite my craving. While Natalie is inside my phone starts to ring, and its none other then the last person I want to hear from.

“What do you want?” I say with no emotion she just replies with a almost sarcastic tone “Frankie is that any way to talk to your lover?” “Jamia I told you before I left we were done and over quit calling me.” she sounds more pathetic at this point “Awe come on Frankie you know you still love me and you know I meant it when I said I was sorry.” I become furious at this comment but reply with gritted teeth “I thought I loved you Jamia, but you fucked that up when you cheated on me.”

She starts to cry “Frank I think I’m pregnant with Ryan’s baby.” I stay silent not knowing what to say but she continues “I don’t know what to do and he wants nothing to do with me or the baby.” “I don’t know what to tell you.” “Just please, please talk to me.” “Jamia I got to go I can’t talk right now.” “What about later will you please talk to me later?” “Okay we will talk later bye.”

I close my phone sigh and turn around to see Natalie “Oh Natalie how long you been there?” I can see she’s trying to find the right words to say but answers me “Not long just came out.” I look at her face wondering if she heard any of my conversation and she just smiles and says “Well Frank you ready to meet Gerard?” I can tell she’s changing the topic for me so I just nod and we take off walking again.

Just as we are almost to the door, I realize she has 4 cups of coffee and I ask who the other cup belonged to just as she knocked on the door. she gives me a short answer as the door flies open “Mikey.” This weird looking guy with thick black glasses opens the door and yells “OH MY GOD GERARD NATALIE IS HERE AND HAS COFFEE!!!!!” she gives him his coffee walks in and I follow close behind. She asks Mikey where Gerard is and he replies with an annoyed tone “In his room being a complete drama queen.” She just smiles and grabs my hand I swear I thought I felt something when she did.

Once we step off the last step into the bedroom she lets my hand go and I really wish she hadn’t, she turns on the light. We hear a hissing sound over by the couch, I watch her walk over to him bend down to his face and say, “Hey gorgeous I got you some coffee and cookies.” then watched her kiss his cheek. Oh god they are a “object” this is going to be incredibly awkward, as he sits in his chair right he says to her “Oh my god babe you can seriously read my mind.” Natalie sits down on the couch by Gerard’s chair and pats the seat next to her I sit feeling kind of uncomfortable but nonetheless I obey.

After a moment or two she finally says to Gerard. “This is Frank Iero he just moved in next door from me.” Gerard lifts his shades and says, “So you’re the new someone?”

I didn’t know how to respond so I just looked at him, but he seemed to just laugh and look at Natalie and say “Not much of a talker is he Nat?”

**Natalie POV**

“Not much of a talker is he Nat?” I looked at Gerard and spoke “Just wait till you get to know him.” He smiled at me “Hmm is that so?” I decided to speak on Frank’s behalf “Frank is a really good guy Gerard I was telling him this morning that you and him are a lot alike, well minus the fabulousness.” This made Gerard chuckle “Well if he’s anything like me God save his soul.” I guess Frank finally got the nerve to talk “There’s no helping my soul I’ve already made my deals with the devil.” He said with a laugh this made Gerard look at him and smile “So he does speak.” Frank just gives a devilish grin.

I hand Frank his coffee and I take mine in hand as well and plop into the couch to get comfortable “So Gerard tell Frankie here about our oh so wonderful school.” Gerard just scowls and speaks with the most disgusted voice ever “It’s a place where if you don’t fit the idealistic form of this generation taking part of the social norm of high school living you’ll be judged, talked to like you are trash, and have more enemies then you’ve ever known.” Frank just laughs and says “Well then I’ll feel right at home my school was filled with cum guzzling sluts and narcissistic assholes as well.” Me and Gerard both bust up laughing at Franks words.

Gerard looks at me and says “Well I think I like him.” I look at Gerard then Frank and just smile. At that time I hear Mikey coming down the stairs and he’s whining that he ran out of coffee “Come here have mine.” The shine in that boy’s eye when I said that was priceless. He came and sat by me and I guess finally noticed Frank. “Hey who’s that?” I chuckle “That’s Frank he’s my new neighbor.” Frank gives an awkward wave “Hey”

Mikey looks at him and gives him a smile “I’m Mikey Gerard’s younger brother.” I put my arm around Mikey’s shoulder and pull him in for a hug “This little guy is the reason we have smokes and alcohol he’s buddies with the local liquor store guy.” Frank looks at him in amazement “How did that come about?” Mikey just grins real big “I’ll never tell its confidential.” and he gives me a wink I just hug him tighter. “Well whatever the story is I don’t care as long as I get my stuff.”

Gerard gets up in haste as if he remembered something important. He walks over to his bedside table and I already know what he’s getting and I’m so glad he remembered. Gerard throws me 3 packs of cigarettes and I look up at him handing him one back because I only gave him money for two packs. He laughs and says “No you keep it I’ve borrowed enough from you that equals out to a carton.” I smile and hand it to Frank and he tries to object but I put it in his pocket anyway and tell him “Keep this safe for me.” and I winked at him. I look back to Gerard and say “So Gerard what are we doing for the rest of the day?”

Gerard plops down on his chair and says “Well we could get drunk.” I just laugh at him “I can’t moms getting off early tonight and I got to be home.” He sighed “Well that’s all I can come up with.” Frank then chimed in “Got a guitar?” Gerard looked at me seriously “He’s not going to start singing fucking Kumbaya is he?” I laughed a little harder then I should have. Frank chuckled at me and then spoke to Gerard “No I was thinking something a little different then that.” I got up and grabbed Ray’s Guitar and amp I knew he had left here Friday night, and I brought it to Frank.

Frank started to play and I was so captivated by his talent and the sound he produced it was unreal I felt like I could listen forever. Gerard and Mikey looked as though they agreed and Mikey finally spoke up.

**Frank POV**

“Have you met Ray yet?” I shook my head “Nope you all are the first people I have met besides Natalie.” she smiled at that comment and Mikey continued “Well you both should meet up sometime and play together he’s pretty awesome too, that’s actually his guitar.” I put down the guitar “Wow I thought this was yours.”

Mikey laughed “No I play Bass and Gerard just sings, and don’t worry Ray won’t mind as long as you don’t trash it.” I made a serious face “I would never, my own maybe but definitely if it’s not mine.” I paused and then went on “So do you have a drummer?” Mikey rubbed his neck “Not really Ray knows someone it’s just a matter of getting him here.” I smile at this “Well if he does do you want to start a band?”

so i know i said i was going to update once a week but my daughter has learned to walk so i have been busy with her and her new found shenanigans lol but i do plan to update as much as possible! i have been at this chapter all night because i felt i owed it to you all and plus i couldn't sleep. its now 3 am so i'm off to bed happy reading!
