Divided

I had no choice. It was either do as I'm told, or risk Frank's safety. I didn't want that.
I sat in Andrew's car completly recoiled within myself. He was driving us back to town for lunch. We didn't talk all the way there. To be honest I was scared shitless. There was something about him that wasn't right... He never showed any emotion, but there was something in his eyes, something dangerous...
He stopped his car in an ally behind a small dark restaurant and got out without saying a word. He came around the car and opend the door for me. I started stepping out but before I knew it, there was a strong grip on my arm and I was being pushed against a wall, with Andrew's arm pressing on my throat so I couldn't scream.
"There's no point in screaming, no one will hear you... So now we are going to have a real conversation..."
I didn't know how to react to what was happening. For someone so thin he was incredibly strong and the lack of breath was making me dizzy and I couldn't think properly. My body started to shake uncontrollably, I was panicking.
"I've had it with you and you're childish ways. There is no way of getting out of this for you. I've put a lot of effort convincing your father that I should have you, and I'm not going to let some brat ruin what I worked so hard to achieve..." He looked fierce. He placed his arm on my neck so I was looking at him. The thing I was trying to describe earlier, what I saw in his eyes, was right there for all to see, a psychopath right there in front of me. Studying them and actually seeing one are to completly different things, and I realized right there and then, in how much trouble I was in.
"I've waited a long time for my chance to insert myself in the Way family. You are my ticket in, and you will not ruin this for me. So from now on you will behave, you will be a good little fiancé and you will do as you are told. Otherwise..." He moved his hand inside his pocket and pulled out a knife. My eyes widened and I started to cry, "I will make sure that you suffer... I will ruin you, Miss Jane... Not only mentally..." He lowerd the knife and placed it between my legs, the blade almost cutting through my jeans "...but physicly as well... I will make sure that no one will ever want to even look at you. This retched marriage is my ticket to power... With you as my wife, the Blood Stone will be in my possession, and finally, I can show this piece of shit world, who's really in charge..."
I couldn't control myself enough to fight back, I felt weak, not only for the lack of breath, but from the panic I was feeling at that point. Even if I did want to run, I don't think my legs would have responded. All I could do was stay there, listening to him and crying...
He looked at me and smirked (yes he actually smirked) "You should have heard the things your father said about you... How you are a complete disappointment, how he wished you were never born... He was desperate to find you someone that would make you walk in a straight line...and then I presented myself. It took some convincing, but you're father thought I was the perfect man to crush your rebellious spirit... And guess what... He was right. If you don't start behaving, I will make your life such a living hell, that you will want to kill yourself just to put an end to it...and I'm not going to let you..."
Something boiled inside of me when I heard those words, fear and panic were replaced by anger and disgust. With the little saliva I had left in my mouth I spat right in his face,
"You will never break me..." I hissed between my teeth
Anger flashed across his face and he moved the hand he was holding the knife upwards to slash my face. I took my chance and kicked him in the balls with my knee, making him cringe in pain. I tried to get away but I wasnt fast enough. He held my wrist tightly and pulled me towards him. I tried to punch him, but he flinched at the last second, pulling me in. I was close enough to kick him again and that's what I did. He cringed again in pain and that time I was able to get away.
I ran from the alley as fast as I could into to the busy main street. I didn't care that I was slamming against other people, I just wanted to get away as fast as I could.
"Jane!" I heard my name being shouted from the other side of the street
I turned around to see who was shouting, in fear that it was Andrew coming after me and I prepared myself to keep running. But a sigh of relief escaped my lips when I looked over, and Frank was standing there, holding a paper bag of groceries.
He looked at me with a smile and started crossing the street to meet me.
Once I stopped running, a strange feeling washed over me. I felt sick, and weak, "Adrenaline, maybe?" I thought to myself. But then I felt a sharp pain coming from my abdomen. I looked down trying to see what was wrong. I placed my hands on my black shirt and the fabric felt wet and warm. At first I thought it was sweat, but when I looked at my fingers, they were dark red.
I looked up at Frank, and he was seconds away from reaching me. I don't know what he saw in my face, be his smile evaporated almost immediately.
"Are you ok?" His voice sounded blurry
That was the last thing I heard before I collapsed on the street.
