Just a Shadow In The Night (Mikey Way/OC)

Emilia’s P.O.V
I knew it was dumb to have nightmares over horror movies, but I couldn’t help what my mind makes up at night. I had a dream that a man was chasing after me with a knife. He was full of blood from his previous victims, and I knew he wanted me dead. Why? I have no idea. All I knew was he was going to stab me until I was dead. And that he did.

But the dream was so vivid and I couldn’t shake the feeling. His eyes looked so menacing and they looked ever so familiar.

I didn’t know what time it was, but there was no sign of the sun so it could’ve been any time, really. I was trying to regulate my breathing, but I failed miserably and tried my best not to wake Mikey up… but my luck was never that good.

I heard him rolling around a bit, and I held my breath- hoping he’d fall back asleep

“Hey…” He whispered softly, sitting up, looking down on me. “What’s up?”

“Bad dream.” I whispered back, taking a shaky breath as I sat up.

“Do wanna come up here and sleep in my bed?” He asked thoughtfully, rubbing his eyes.
I didn’t really hesitate, knowing he was my only option and I wouldn’t be able to get back to sleep on my own.

“Yeah” I whispered before he shuffled over in his bed to give me space. He immediately wrapped me up in his blanket as I lay down. His arms carefully pulled me closer so that I could hug him comfortably.

“Wanna tell me what it was about?” He asked after a minute

“Yeah…” I whispered. He waited patiently before I told him about the man and how he was after me. With the more detail I described, the closer he held me.

Once I was done, he waited a moment before whispering “I’ll never let him hurt you, I promise.”
And that is when I felt at ease and sleep comforting me once again.

Just a lil' update to keep you guys entertained. I know how I'm gonna end the story but I wanna drag it out... or should I even bother? Like should I add more normal- chill chapters, or do you want like- "ACTION! EXCITEMENT! WOW!!!!" ? Idk guys- just tell me what you want.
