If My Velocity Starts to Make You Sweat

Frank and Gerard where the last ones out of the water. Mikey threw the pair towels that he had got from Gerard's jeep. Frank dried his hair before wrapping the towel around his waist. The five boys sat near the fire in their towels. Frank was slowly becoming more comfortable with Gerard, Mikey, and Ray... maybe not Bob yet though... he seemed like someone who wouldn't be easy to get along with.
Gerard passed out beers, and lit what looked like a cigarette. "Puff, puff, pass bitches." He said, handing the joint to Frank. From the smell of it, this wasn't tobacco. "What is this?" Frank asked examining the burning joint. "It's weed. Now take some and pass it on." Ray said, shoving the joint towards Frank's mouth.Hesitantly he took a puff off the joint and gave it to Ray quickly before he broke out into a fit of coughing, making everyone laugh.
As they sat there by the fire, drinking beer, and passing the joint, Gerard had the idea to tell ghost stories. Everyone had gotten back into their boxers now, and Frank was far more comfortable, or maybe high, or maybe a bit of both. He listened intently as Gerard told his story.
"Oh, you hear the stories about how dangerous Ouija boards are, but hey—it’s just a game. Mary waited until midnight to begin our little game, and the four of us—Sarah, Jessie, me, and, Mary, started by asking all kinds of silly questions. It was a strange-looking board, covered with letters and symbols. There was a plastic pointer that was supposed to move across the board at the behest of the spirits. The instructions called it a planchette. Around one thirty in the morning, the planchette suddenly froze in Mary’s hand. It wouldn't move, no matter how much we pushed and pulled..."
As Gerard continued the story, Frank crawled onto his lap, sitting down in his crossed legs, and taking some of his beer. Gerard laughed quietly as he ended the story. "But seriously, Ouija Boards are fun." He added at the end. Mikey had passed out, and was sleeping now, but the rest were still awake. One by one the boys fell asleep, Bob went next, and after that Ray drifted off to sleep leaving Gerard and Frank the only two left awake.
