Are You Okay?

*Gerard's POV*

I burst through the back door positively glowing with happiness. Mom and Mikey stare at me as I traipse through the kitchen and up the stairs. They look at me like I'm a maniac but they don't say anything for three probable reasons: Either they are so surprised that they've gone mute, they actually think I'm a maniac, or they don't want to ruin my bad mood. I'll admit that the latter is the most likely but I do love to entertain the possibility that my happiness could cause such a gargantuan reaction. As I race to the top of the remaining stairs mum regains her composure and yells that dinner will be ready in about an hour and to have my homework done by at least ten or she's going to make me do the dishes again. Mikey seems to like that idea as he also calls after me telling me to take as long as I so desire on my homework. As soon as I'm in my room with the door closed I take out my phone and start texting frank. I am still going through shock at the fact that he actually has feelings for me. During our conversation he nicknames me "Gee" and I decide to call him "Frankie". Mum calls me down for dinner and I say goodbye to Frankie. That hour went by so fast I could have sworn that I had just sat down. I wash my hands and head downstairs for dinner. There's a kind of awkward silence at the table that consists of me smiling like a blithering idiot and them looking at me like I am a blithering idiot. Mikey finally breaks the silence, asking the question that is on both his and mom's minds. "Gerard? What are you so happy about?"
"Mum, Mikey, I'm...bisexual...."
There was complete silence in the room until finally Mikey just said "Cool." like it was nothing. The weight instantly lifted off my shoulders. Mikey was perfectly fine with it and even though mom was still staring at me in shock I felt a lot better. Mikey still looked at me in the same way, he didn't even bat an eye when I came out, and that made me feel good. He accepted me and that was just about all that mattered right then. My mom suddenly smiled"Gerard, I'm glad that you decided to trust us with this and I am so proud of you for getting up the courage to do it" she stood up and hugged me fiercely. When I finally broke the hug Mikey said "Sooo then what were you so happy about?"
"Oh right right right right thaaat well... ummm well...."
they looked at me expectantly
"Ikindalikethenewguyatmyschoolandijustfoundoutthathelikesmeback." I blurted exitedly
"Uhhh, Gerard? I didn't quite get that."
I took a deep breath and repeated myself
" I kind of like the new guy at my school and Ijustfoundouthathelikesmeback!!!!!"
"Still didn't understand the last part." mom sighed
"Wait. The guy who we walked to school today? That new guy?" Mikey asked, incredulous
I nodded "Uh huh"
"and I just found out that he likes me back!!!!!"
Once dinner was over I headed back to my bedroom and got out my notebook. It opened up to the page where I had drawn frank. I flipped forward a few pages and started sketching again. At first I had no idea what it was going to come out as but as I added more and more details I saw that it was me and frankie kissing. My face reddened. Of course that was all I could think about.
As soon as it was finished . I closed the notebook and did all my homework. When I was done I checked the time. Not later than 10:00. I heard footsteps coming up the stairs and instantly jumped into bed. Mom pushed open the door to find me lying there. "Gerard, sweetie, did you take your pills tonight?" I shook my head and walked over to my dresser where the half-empty bottle of depression pills lay. I picked one up looking at its sickly pink casing and dry-swallowed it. Mom left and I got back into bed. I hadn't even known how tired I was until my head hit the pillow and instantly my eyes closed to visions of me and Frankie. Maybe it would work out. That would be a nice change for once.

the fluff is litrally gonna be in the very next chapter (and yes I know I put litrally its a dan and phil reference)
