It’s all my fucking fault, it’s my second day of school and I couldn’t keep my fucking mouth shut; because of it I ruined two relationships, made Patrick heartbroken, Pete got beat up, and made Mikey upset too. This is why I had no friends; I say things that I promised I wouldn’t and then everybody gets mad.

I finally realize the last thing that happened, I passed out. I bolt up from the cot I was laying on and look around; I’m in the nurses’ office and I see a lot of faces. Ray is sitting on the chair next to me, Frank, Gerard and Mikey are at the end of the bed talking, and Pete is standing at the door. He has a swollen lip, a black eye and his eyebrow has a cut in it. Shit that’s what Frank did to him. Patrick is in the corner reading a book, and lastly Oli and Brendon are talking to each other in the other corner. Once I bolt up everyone gets startled and looks at me. I wince in pain as my migraine is killing me. Ray who is sitting next to me places his hand on my shoulder.

“Calm down Christa” Ray soothes. I take a deep breath and look around again, everyone is still staring at me, and I have no idea what to say. Pete steps forward.

“Christa-“ but I cut him off.

“I’m sorry, this is all my fault. I should have just kept my mouth shut.” I look down ashamed.

“No Christa” he sits on the bed next to me “I’m actually glad you did, If you didn’t then this would have dragged on forever and it would have just made things worse…I’m sorry I got pissed at you though” I look up and Pete looks sincere, I look over to everyone and give a slight smile before I furrow my eyebrows

“Jack and Alex aren’t in today?” I ask, everyone gives a little chuckle before Brendon speaks up.

“No, they had a ‘sleepover’ and woke up with a hangover so they didn’t come” I giggle remembering the small show they put on at the party. Everyone else laughs but Patrick gives a confused face since he wasn’t there.

“Umm, Would you mind telling Patrick what they did, I’m sure he would love to hear it” Brendon grins and steps over to Patrick, He whispers in his ear. It takes a moment before Patrick looks a little grossed out but big grin plastered on his face. Everyone starts giggling again but I can’t help but wonder what’s going on with the Pete-Patrick-Mikey thing. No one seems to be crying anymore and they can stand being in the same room with each other. I decide to leave it alone though. After a moment Oli walks over to me,

“You okay Christa?” He asks

“Ya…umm, How did I get to the nurses exactly?” I asked

“Ray carried you” I think my heart skips a beat.

“What?” I ask

“Remember, before you passed out Ray was trying to keep you awake. He was already holding on to you when you did” Oli says all this with a smile, and I know it’s because of what he said on the bus. I roll my eyes at him and give Ray an awkward glance.

“Th-Thank y-you Ray” My fucking stutter. Ray smiles and Oli starts laughing, Ray gives a confused look.

“Get out of here Oli” I say playfully, he stands up still laughing and walks towards Pete. By this time everyone stops laughing and I get confused again.

“What time is it? Shouldn’t you all be in class?” Gerard answers

“It’s about twenty minutes past 2nd period, you were passed out for almost an hour…and Christa you’re in our ‘gang’. We don’t leave our members behind. The nurse doesn’t care anyway, she already left.”

I sat there dumbfounded; they’re missing class so they wouldn’t leave me. I stare at the ground for a moment, they really care. I’ve never had anybody who did that besides my sister. If I got sick she would stay home from school and help me, my parents would tell her to go to school but she refused. My thoughts get interrupted when Frank speaks.

“By your shocked look I’m guessing you haven’t had many friends before?” I shake my head in shame.

“Well you have all of us now” Ray says smiling. Oli starts laughing again…I swear he is never going to let it go is he? I nod toward Ray and look to everyone who is smiling back at me.

“I guess it’s time to get to class” I say after a couple moments, everybody nods and starts shuffling out the door. They all stand at the door waiting for me; I give them all a hug saying thanks, I go to Patrick.

“Are you okay Patrick?” He sighs

“Ya… My heart didn’t think it was working out anyway but my brain was denying it. I’m a little mad at Pete for dating Mikey behind my back instead of just telling me, but were alright. There’s no holes in the gang” I nod and smile at him. After he leaves, I go over to Mikey.

“I saw you and Gerard talking earlier, everything alright?”

“Ya, he was a little mad because of the whole ‘still dating Patrick thing’ but I talked to Patrick and he forgives us. Me and Pete are still together though” I smile at him and he walks back, Pete is last.

“I’m sorry Christa, I didn’t mean to call you a bitch. I was just mad; I though both of those people were leaving my life…but luckily they’re not”

“It’s ok Pete, I understand what’s it’s like for someone to leave your life” He gives a small smile and everyone walks off to class.

“See you guys at lunch!” I call to them

“See ya” they all call back.

I look around and Ray is waiting for me since we the same classes. I slowly walk over to him, I feel really awkward because he had to carry me.

“Hey, everything cleared with them?” I nod and swallow a lump that was in my throat.

“Ya, They’re alright” I respond quickly, he senses the awkwardness.

“You feel weird because I carried you huh? Well I would have let someone else do it but they were occupied with each other.

“No it’s fine, I would be awkward if someone else carried me anyway. It’s not just you” I tell him but it feels like I’m lying. No, I would feel awkward if Brendon or Gerard carried me, Right?

It's finally the end of the school day and Me and Ray are walking towards the bus area, We talk about one of the homework assignments until Ray changes topics

"So what was Oli laughing about earlier?" I tense up a little

"Oh, Nothing. Just something he said on the bus this morning" Please don't ask. Please don't ask.

"What did he say?" Shit.

"You're going to have to ask him" I softly laugh hoping that he doesn't get to far into it.

"Fine, I will" At that moment he gets a text, He pulls his phone out and reads it.

"Damn it" he says

"What's wrong?"

"My parents are going out and I don't have a spare key, They said to hang out at a friends till they come back. Everyone already left" I take a moment...I hope I don't regret this!

"You can hang out at my house." I say, He looks up.

"Really? Are you sure?" I nod and he smiles,

"Well okay, Let's get on your bus before it leaves" I take a deep breath and climb on...Here we go.
