Ray slowly leans in, and my breath hitches. l close my eyes leaning in also, and then...
I feel the sensation of his warm lips touch mine, they gently just stay on mine neither one of us moving closer or back...This is happening; i’m kissing someone. It seems like my heart rate has tripled and is about to burst out of my chest; my head is spinning with so many thoughts but before I know it my lips go cold as he pulls away and looks at me. I don’t know what to say or do, we just stare at each other; it was until Ray breaks the silence.
“Christa?” Ray asks softly; I give a humming noise telling i’m listening
“Was that your first kiss?” I gently nod my head and I feel my face heat up
“I’m sorry” he says
“D-don’t be sorry” I say quickly
“I do like you Christa” he starts...I realize that his fingers are still holding my chin up and he notices too before letting go; sitting down next to me on the bed he looks towards me.
“I pretty much have a big crush on you” He admits scratching the back of his head
“Me too” I say quietly, his eyes light up and a small smile comes across his face
“You do?” he asks hopeful
“I’ve been trying to ignore it because i’ve never really had a crush but obviously Oli kind of pushed us together didn’t he?” I end with a small chuckle
“Yeah... So I want to ask you formally” he starts and lightly grabs my hand
“Christa, would you like to go out on a date sometime?” I smile...this is actually happening; I just got asked out on a date by Ray, a nice boy who cares about me.
“Yes” I answer and he pulls me into a hug
“GUYS SHE SAID YES” We hear someone yell from out the door; a fair amount of cheers come from the living room; I roll my eyes and sigh pulling away from Ray
“I guess they’re updated on the situation” he smirks and I giggle; I sigh and look to Ray’s eyes
“So...did you want to figure out a day now or wait?” he questioned
“Saturday sounds fine...and we’ll figure out a location later” I replied not really knowing where to go for a first date; he nods and stands up.
“Time to go tame the lions” he smiles and walks out of the room; I get up also and follow right behind. When entering the living room we are met with happy dorky faces
“So...tell us” Gerard smiles; I stand next to Ray
“We are going out” I say proudly and everyone cheers again; Oli comes up and hugs us both
“Yay, no need to thank me, just doing my job as the match maker” I roll my eyes again
“Yes Oli thank you for making the both of us embarrassed and nervous around each other” I add but of course him being him he takes it as a compliment. I look around the room as everyone one is focused back on the tv or chatting I see plates from breakfast everywhere.
“Okay, everyone who had pancakes please put the plates in the dishwasher; we are not trashing my house with dirty dishes” some people laugh and start to get up going into the kitchen
“So Christa?” Patrick starts “Are we hanging out here all day or did anyone want to go anywhere?”
“I’m not sure, i’m fine with either”
“We could take a vote?” Brendon suggests and I look to Patrick who shrugs his shoulders but in an ‘i’m down’ way...When everyone is back in the living room I get their attention
“Okay there is going to be a vote, do you want to stay here or go out in the town?...How many of you want to stay here...not one person raised there hand and everyone giggled
“Well I don’t even have to ask the next question” I grin
“Let me get dressed real quick and we can go...everyone get ready and behave while i’m gone” They all nod most of them trying to find their shoes; I go to my room and lock the door making sure no one can walk in and see me changing.I am definitely not going to take a shower with so many people here. I throw on some skinny jeans and a band t-shirt slipping on my shoes and then checking to make sure my hair and make up are on fine; I go back out and see everyone with shoes on and ready to go
“So I guess we can go to the mall?” I say not knowing where, they all smile and nod
“So whomever cars are outside and whomever came with who...i’ll need a ride” I don’t have a fucking car
“You can ride with Ray” Oli says quickly before they all trample out the door...I guess we’re going to hit the town.
