Did he seriously just ask me to the prom after what he did to me? Sure I still love the arsehole but I can’t even speak him right now. I just stare at him as if I hadn’t heard his question. He sighs and heads for the door. “Wait” I shout. What am I doing? I’m probably going to regret this soon. “Yes Gee?” His face is full of hope. “Let me think about it and I will tell you the start of next week. Alright?” He smiles a tiny bit but you can see how hurt he is. He nods and leaves. Just as I go to lay down a nurse comes in.

“Hello Gerard. My names Angie. How are you?” She looks rather young. Too young to work here if you ask me. Maybe she’s a volunteer? Oh who cares? I certainly don’t. She’s really attractive too. I need to stop thinking these things. I mean yeah I’m gay but what some people don’t realise is I can still find the opposite sex still attractive. Just not sexually attractive. “I’m fine thanks. So when can I get out?” She looks at her clipboard and scans it. She looks up and smiles at me. “Well Mr. Way according to this by Monday next week the latest.” So thankfully not long. “Thank you.” I said and beamed at her. She didn’t smile back, she had a serious look on her face.

“Look I know it’s none of my business but I heard that lad out there, talking about how much he loves you....” I froze. Suddenly unable to talk. “There was another guy with him, Pete I think he called him.....” So he was with Pete again. He actually had the cheek to bring him here. Does he really not care. She kept talking but I wasn’t listening. I was to upset and trying to not cry in front of her. “Mr. Way are you listening?” I snapped back into focused and gave her a small smile. “Sorry, I was just thinking things through.” She nodded and smiled again. “Well I said you have a new roommate.” Well this is going to be hell. “Miss if you don’t mind me asking, Who is my roommate?” She looked at another chart I didn’t realise she was holding. “Please just call me Angie and your roommate is called Peter Wentz.”

I’m pretty sure a look of horror crept up on my face. Angie just laughed.”Sweetie that lad put him in here for ruining your relationship.” With that she walked out. Frank put him in here for that? Frank was the one who didn’t stop him.

I woke up to someone sitting on my bed. As my eyes opened I came face to face with Pete. “Look I know you want to beat the crap out of me but let me explain, please?” I sighed but nodded. Let’s see what shit Frank’s personal cock sucker comes out with. “I forced myself onto him, alright?”I scoffed. I know for a fact he didn’t. I heard their little conversation downstairs. Pete gave me an un-amused look. “Why are you lying? Why stick up for him after he beat the shit out of you? I mean grow some balls Pete. He is a major twat.” He looked down and then back up to meet my eyes.

“He’s a good friend to me. Believe it or not Gerard even with this beating, he’s still the nicest friend I’ve ever had. Well truth is he’s the ONLY friend I’ve got. Before he met you I used to suck him off for him to listen to me. So I could have a shoulder to cry on. I guess I got used to that. Even when he was with Mark before you he still let me. I mean with you, he won’t let me even touch him anymore.” I processed this. It made somewhat sense. Wait that’s how he got Frank’s attention? “Pete?” He made a little humming sound to signal me to go ahead.

“Look I’m your friend now. Okay?” He nodded and smiled. He had a beautiful smile. Not like Frank’s though. Frank’s was breathtaking. “Now what did you want to talk to Frank about? Unless it’s personal or you’d rather talk to him.” He hesitated. “Do you want me to urm do something first?” Was this all he really knew? “Pete listen to me. When you come to talk to me I don’t expect you to do anything for me. Just talk to me. Okay? No cock sucking or anything sexual. Not with me and never again. I don’t want you to feel like you have to do anything like that.” He gave me a very bright smile and nodded. His smile dropped and he cleared his throat. I could see tears forming in his eyes.

“My uncle just died. I was close to him. I lived with him after my parents kicked me out when they found out I was gay.” He started to cry. I pulled him into a hug. He calmed down after a while. “Pete?” He pulled away and looked at me with teary eyes. “Where do you live now?” He looked around the room. “Nowhere. That’s why I came here. I knew frank would flip and beat me up bad enough to stay here for a bit. I have until Monday next week, then I’m out and on the streets.” He started to cry. I couldn’t bring myself to let him suffer. I mean Frank would be pissed but who cares?

“I get out on Monday too. So how about you come live with me? My parents won’t mind. They are also not homophobic bastards.” He crying stopped as he said in a choked shaking voice ”Really?” I nodded and he launched himself into my arms. “Thank you so fucking much Gerard.” I just hugged him tighter. From all the crying he did he tired himself out and fell asleep laid on me. I soon joined him as he tired me out too.

Next time we awoke it was to someone shouting in an angry tone at the two of us.

“WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TWO DOING? HOW COULD YOU!”
