“I’m not sure; I’m thinking we should just tell them the truth” he responds

“Oh yes Bryce…The kid that cut me and got expelled found me again and tried to beat me up. Instead I beat him up and he threatened to kill me” I retort.

“I’m not sure what her reaction is going to be but it’s better than lying” he says softly.

“Okay…Do you want some pancakes?” I ask looking up to him and of course he’s smiling…gosh him and pancakes. I look to the clock that says 11:05 Am and decide to stay in my pajamas; I go downstairs while Gee goes to the restroom. I look around and it seems like everyone is still asleep which is good for now; I head to the kitchen and try to look for the pan I need in the bottom cupboard. Bending over to look for it I hear the kitchen door open and then all of a sudden hands on my ass that lightly squeeze.

“This is mine” Gerard’s voice rings out.

“Are you okay?”

“Ya, just the bruise that I have no idea how to explain to your parents” I chuckle, he smiles and looks to Gerard for a second; I just ignore it. I guess I will have to tell them the truth.

We watch T.V for a little bit and by now it’s 1:30 PM till we hear footsteps coming down the stairs; we wath until both Mr. and Mrs. Way appear in the living room.

“Bryce” I respond looking anywhere but her eyes

“Bryce Nathers? I thought he was expelled?” she says glances up to Mr. Way who was now looking at the bruise too.

“I ran into him at the mall and we got into a fight”

“Where was Gerard?” She asked glancing over to him then back at me

“He was in the restroom” I respond; she finally lets go of my chin and steps back crossing her arms.

“Did he get any marks?” she asked

“Most likely a broken nose” I smiled; I knew it wasn’t a laughing matter to parents but I finally beat him up. He got what he deserved. Her eye went wide for a second and she glanced to Mr. Way; he spoke up.

“Did he attack first or you?”

“He did”

“Well I don’t really think there is anything we can do about it; they ran into each other at the mall, it happens” I nod but for some reason a part of me says that we didn’t just run into him. Donna sighs.

“Fine, If you ever see him again just avoid him” she says, I nod of course I’ll fucking avoid the person who said they want to kill me.

“Okay then, who wants lunch?” we all said yes and they both walked into the kitchen; I sighed in relief and leaned my head on Gee’s shoulder

“See that wasn’t so bad” he smiled, I nodded and smiled back; so far another perfect day.
