{"Frank, what the hell are you doing?" she asked.
"Running away." he answered.

It was just after the Helium War during the rise of BL/ind. Frank had his wife, Jamia, along with their twin infant daughters, were placed in one of the secret hideouts the rebels had made from BLI. Frank was about to break out from the place and run away on his own. Hiding underground from the dracs wasn't going to be enough for him.
"You can't just leave now," Jamia protested. "What about our children?"
"They'll be fine." Frank insisted. "I don't want them living under Bl/ind's rule. And I can't have them just hiding out underground hoping things will get better."
"It's BL/ind, Frank. BL/IND. They have dracs everywhere. You can't just go out on your own."
"I'm not. Gerard will be there, so will Ray and Mikey and-"
"What good is running going to do you boys anyway?"
"Alicia and Christa are dead, Jamia,. DEAD. And Korse is already holding Lynz and Bandit in hostage and Jimmy's been missing for the passed several days and I hear the Kitty might be ghosted out as well. Steve and a guy named Ricky that someone else knows are going with us as well. Maybe you are able to hide yourself and the kids undergrond forever, but not me. Some of us aren't cut out for this."
"Don't you even think about leaving, Frank. You walk out of here and we're through."
"it's only for this families own good." Frank warned. He then left his wife and children behind.}

Ghoul laid on the hood of the transam looking up at the night sky. Even if they defeated Korse and the BLI takeover, What did he have to look forward to? Maybe if he was the only one with a living wife by that time, she would have already moved on from him and remarried. His daughter would have a new father. No one would even remember him.
"We've got food inside yknow?" Poison called to him as he approached the transam.
"I'm not hungry." Ghoul responded.
"It's Jamia, isn't it?"
Poison laid next to him.
"I was just thinking about our children. I didn't want them growing up in the BL/ind world. I wasn't trying to hurt anyone."
"If we ever did win, you'd still be the only one to have an ex-wife and children to go back to."
"What about your Lynz and Bandit?"
"I heard the news from Benzene. She said they were ghosted by Korse."
"Sorry dude.' Then it hit Ghoul. "Wait, who the fuck is Benzene?"
"Benzene Doll? The chick you found from a few days ago, duh. She found herself a new identity last night. Just like the rest of us."
Silence.
"Maybe you should talk to her."
"What for?'
"We all know you like her the most. You didn't want to raise Cherry and Lily off of BL/ind's world, but that's too late to handle. You said Benzene was able to reproduce and have children to raise as killjoys against BL/ind's rule. Maybe this is a sign, Ghoul. A second change to fulfill the goals you had during the war."
"There's really no use, Poison. Heard it all from Grace. Hel...Benzene is too fucked up to even fall in love and somehow believes she'll die next year despite the fact that she 26 right now. How the hell am I even going to get her to even consider having sex for breeding purposes without offending her or putting her through the bullshit pain Korse put her through for seven years?"
"Maybe this is a sign for the both of you. You get a second chance to be a dad and raise children the y way you anted too. She gets a second chance to find true love."

"Maybe you're right Poison." Ghoul said as he got up. It was really too late in the evening to speak to Benzene about what Poison had. So he went inside to prepare for the next day.
