Give Me Blood

XV

During their breakfast the bus had begun to move. Gerard had no idea where they were headed but he didn't care much, he had other things on his mind.
On the inside he was quite a mess. It was driving him crazy that he didn't know who Frank was in love with. He felt a strong jealousy but he didn't even know who it was directed towards. And he also felt some kind of deep sadness. He was so in love with Frank that it hurt. It hurt that he loved somebody else and it hurt so fucking much that he couldn't have him, couldn't call him his own, couldn't kiss those gorgeous lips whenever he wanted.
It was all he ever really wanted and he couldn't have it. It was frustrating beyond belief.
And the man sitting across the table from him with his beautiful vibrant smile and those deep eyes that held a little spark and made him appear a little mischievous, was not helping him to forget about it at all.
But there was another, almost, but not quite as big, problem nagging at his mind.
What was he supposed to do about his marriage? What should he tell his wife, and even more important, what should he tell his daughter?
He didn't want to crash their lives but it was inevitable.
He couldn't live this lie anymore, his love to Frank was stronger than anything he had ever felt.
It hadn't been a lie at first, he'd really liked Lindsey a lot and he had wanted to move on with her. Their time together had been amazing, crazy, but wonderful. The emotions had been real but the need to be with Frank was stronger and now that it had broken through, there was no way to go back to the way it was before.
But he was scared of how it would all turn out. There was a really big possibility that it would end up in a big disaster.
Gerard just couldn't bear the thought of possibly losing his daughter. Bandit was the most important person to him, next to Frank.
He was glad that he had Frank at his side to go through all of this.
They were still friends after all, and he was very thankful of that.
Gerard needed his help, he had no idea when or how to approach Lindsey.
But even through all of this emotional distress and hurt, he managed to maintain a calm and collected exterior.
Too calm probably, because he noticed Frank looking at him with a concerned expresssion on his face. He hadn't noticed that he'd zoned out, but obviously he had because he heared Frank say 'Did you even listen?'
'What? Sorry, no', he shook his head, looking down sheepishly.
Frank sighed. 'I know you've got things on your mind. But let's just not think about this right now. We'll figure something out eventually, I promise. But I asked you what you wanted to do today. We're gonna drive all day, so the possibilities are limited', he trailed off.
Gerard thought about it for a moment, then said 'Can we just watch a movie and cuddle a bit?'
He felt a bit embarassed to ask for that, they were close, but he wasn't sure if he was crossing a line.
It's not like they hadn't been physically close before or hadn't slept in each other's arms the last two nights, but that was just Frank being friendly and comforting.
He wasn't sure, though, if this was off limits.
They were nothing but friends, after all. Close friends, but not boyfriends, sadly.
Frank erased his doubts immediately, though, by grinning widely at Gerard.
This grin was contagious and soon they were both smiling from ear to ear, secretly admiring the other's beauty, their respective hearts swelling with pure love, unbeknownst to the other.
'What do you wanna watch?', Frank asked, walking over to the living room section of the bus. He didn't care as long as he got to cuddle with Gerard. He was really happy that he had suggested this.
Frank was going to enjoy every minute he got to spend with Gerard, no matter how it was spent. He had just missed him so damn much and he was gonna savor this.
'I don't really care, either', Gerard shrugged, so they decided to just watch some cheap action flick.
Neither of them were really watching it, though, as Gerard was snuggling into Frank, inhaling his scent and burying his face in his shirt, while Frank was lovingly combing through Gerard's hair with his fingers.
After a while, Gerard began to emit cute little snoring noises that signaled to Frank that he was sleeping.
Frank took the chance to take a picture of them both on his phone.
He sent it to Jamia to prove a point, captioning it with 'I'm happy with this friendship'.
He had his suspicions that she'd be trying to set him up with Gerard and this would probably not end well. His biggest fear was losing Gerard, so he had to convince Jamia that he was fine and didn't need her help.
He wasn't really fine, but he had to push through it like always, because his relationship with Gerard was too precious.

Notes

That took way too long, but I've been writing (not writing) this for almost a week because I just didn't know what to write. Tell me what you think about it please?
