Ray went to the book store that Gerard worked in to say hi and talk to him. They hadn't talked much lately and he heard from Frank and Mikey that Gee was gonna be a daddy. He walked back towards the fiction section where he found Gerard putting a new shipment of books up on the selves.

"Hey dude I heard the good news." Ray said smiling up at Gee.

"Hey man. Yeah its awesome," Gerard stated excited, “I can’t believe were having a baby."

He climbed down from the foot stool and carried the empty box the books were shipped in towards the back. Ray followed happy at how excited his friend seemed to be.

"So do you guys have any plans? Like are you getting married before or after you have it?"

"I'm not sure yet. We haven’t really talked about it. I’m excited though." Gee said with a big smile on his face. This was the happiest Ray has seen his friend in a while. It was always nice to see Gerard in a good mood.

"So are you gonna get a new job? I mean you can't be making a whole lot here."Ray asked.

"I've been talking to some guys about getting my comic book published and if all goes well then I have a meeting with Dark Horse about Umbrella Academy." Gerard smiled proud of his new accomplishment.

"Dude that’s really great. You should come over after your shift and we should all hang out. It’s been a while since we all got together to just hang ya know?"

"Yeah sure that would be cool. I'll call you later dude." Gerard said getting back to work and Ray left.

Jaydee sat on her brother’s bed trying to stay calm. She had just got off the phone with her doctor about being pregnant when Mikey had told her how crazy Gerard was. Now she was scared. She couldn't just leave now because she was having his baby. And what if she tried to leave and he killed her? She didn't want to think that her unborn child would have to die because of her leaving its father.

Frank had been trying to calm her down for 3 hours. He knew about everything that was going on do to both his sister and Mikey, and while he was scared something would happen to his sister, he had to be strong for her. He couldn't let her know that he was scared Gerard would hurt her or his niece or nephew.

"Just breathe Jaydee it will be fine. Do you love him?" Frank asked rubbing her back gently.

"I thought so. But he’s not the man I thought he was now is he?" She shook her head to rid the thoughts of Gerard covered in blood gripping a knife.

"Do you feel safe?" His eyes searched her face for some hint of emotion other then fear.

"Not as of lately. He’s so happy about the baby though. I can't take that from him."

"Jaydee you need to do whatever you can to keep you and that child safe."He said sternly.

"I know I do. But what if leaving is what would put me in danger?"

"It’s better to at least try, then stay and wait for him to just snap one day."

Jaydee sighed. She knew Frank was right. The thing that scared her most, in some odd way wasn’t that he was a killer; it was that she didn't care. How could she be so sick as to be in love with a murderer? Someone that who at any second could lose his temper and hurt her or worse, their child. She couldn't let her brother know she felt this way about Gee still. She couldn't let anyone know. While she still loved him and wanted to be with him she knew the safest this to do for her baby would be to leave.

"Call Mikey." She said looking up into his eyes.

"Ok. Why?"

"Tell him we need his help. He knows Gee better than anyone. We need him to help me leave."

After a few hours of Mikey Frank and Jaydee making a plan for her departure they finally came up with an idea.

"Ok so Jaydee after Gerard goes to work you're going to call him and tell him that your Grandma is sick and that you’re going to Florida to visit her for a few weeks. Try to convince him it’s important that you leave as soon as possible and that you go alone. After you do this you’re gonna come over to my house and me and Frank will be here. Franks gonna take you up to your parents old cabin and I'm gonna get you a pre paid phone. Were gonna have your current one disconnected so Gerard can’t call you. You're gonna stay there for a few weeks until your cousin in New York can get you an apartment in her building and then you're gonna leave. Frank, if Gerard asks you were Jaydee went because you know he will. you’re going to give him a letter that were gonna have Jaydee write stating that things were moving to fast and she needed to get out of the relationship before she hurt him in the long run or some shit like that. That way Gerard will know you’re not coming back and eventually move on with his life. Hopefully it all goes down smoothly." Mikey explain the plan over again so that it was burned into every ones brain. They all secretly prayed that it would work.
"So when we doing this shit dude?" Frank asked fully prepared to get his sister out right then and there,

"Some time next week. That way it will give Jaydee time to get this straight with your guys’ cousin and she can find an OB/GYN in New York. Try to pack as little as you can. You don’t want him to notice you're packing," Mikey looked between the two as they both nodded their heads.

Jaydee tried to hold back the tears she felt coming. A sick feeling in the pit of her stomach across at the thought of leaving the only man she loved. She didn't want their child to grow up with a murderer as a father and she didn’t want it to grow up with a potentially abusive father. She had to be strong for the baby and leave Gerard behind no matter how painfully it
might be.
