Mikey and Alicia were sitting in the Way's living room, watching a film on the T.V when the door went.

Alicia had been invited around by Mikey for a 'friend' date in which they would watch films together and raid his mother's kitchen for food they could stuff their faces with. Originally, he had thought that because she was a girl she wouldn't find that appealing, to stuff their faces with random food. It was something that he and Frank did all the time. But Alicia surprised him and actually enjoyed it. She even suggested the marshmallow and cheese crackers that he had found a new love for.

"I'll be right back," Mikey muttered when he realised that no one was going to get the door which meant that he was going to have to get it. Alicia nodded her head and he got up.

Grumbling to himself Mikey made his way to the door and pulled it open, an annoyed expression set on his face. It became even more annoyed when he saw that it was only Frank.

"What do you want?"

"You really know how to greet people, Mikey," Frank stated sarcastically.

Mikey rolled his eyes. "Whatever. What do you want?"

"I think my doll's broken."

"So you come over here... why?"

"Seriously, Mikey, if you just don't want me to come in you could just say so rather than being moody like you are now."

This made Mikey roll his eyes at his friend. "Fine. Why do you think your doll's broken?"

"It hasn't cried."

Mikey just looked at Frank strangely as if to ask him why exactly he was bothered over something like that. But the look faded away when he realised that he was bothered over it because normally these dolls never stopped making noise.

"Oh... have you fed it?"

"No shit, Mikey. Of course I have. I've tried doing everything to get it to make sound, but nothing."

Mikey exhaled sharply. “Fuck Frank, if it's permanently broken then your mum's going to get the bill for it.”

“I know.”

They stood at the door for a few seconds in silence, neither quite sure what to say. Finally Frank broke it by clearing his throat before talking, “I'm going to guess that there's someone in your house which is why you haven't invited me in.”

A little blush covered Mikey's cheeks and even though it was barely visible, Frank noticed and smirked at his friend. But before he could say anything Mikey beat him to it.

“Fine, someone's here. Happy?”

“Who is it... its Alicia, isn't it?” Frank had a shit eating grin on his face as his friend went a dark red.

“Shut up Frank. Can you just go?”

Frank nodded and just as he was about to turn he stood on his tiptoes and shouted into the house, “Hey, Alicia, Mikey likes you!”

Mikey gasped and punched his friend who ran away laughing, knowing full well that Mikey would have said something if he would have stayed there any longer.

Closing the door, Mikey slowly walked into the sitting room where Alicia was sitting with an amused expression on her face. It was clear that she had heard what Frank had shouted.

“Don't listen to Frank, he's just gutted that his girlfriend moved away with her parents,” Mikey said to her, trying to get her to forget what Frank had said.

Even though he did like her, he didn't want to tell her. Mikey was shy, despite how he is with his friends and people he knew. And it wasn't like he thought that Alicia would go out with him; she was just as shy as he was, and plus she was really pretty.

“Haha, right Mikey. Okay, I won't listen to him,” Alicia smiled at him.

It was pretty obvious that she liked him and he liked her. Frank knew it which was why he shouted it through the door because she didn't know he liked her and he didn't know she liked him. Well, she knew he did now, but that could have just been Frank mucking about.

They continued watching the film as if Frank had never knocked on the door and disturbed them.
