Heart-Shaped Box (Frerard)

"Gerard-- are you sure you're okay?" Mikey asked from the hallway, hearing his brother muttering profanities after throwing his guts up in the toilet.
"Fine, Mikes, I'll be out in a minute." Gerard struggled to his feet. He was becoming weak, going on a few months without eating. Gerard popped a piece of gum into his mouth, a clever way, he discovered, to trick his body into eating. He was awful, he knew it. But he would find a way to change into what his little Frankie deserved.
"I'm fine, Mikey, honest." Gerard flashed a grin, turning down his mother's offer for coffee as he walked out the door, grabbing a sweatshirt and his bag on the way.
That was when Mikey was 100% sure there was something wring with his brother. When did Gerard ever turn down coffee? So Mikey went exploring. He left for school, but decided to keep a close eye on Gerard. He had to make sure his older brother was okay. Sometimes he felt like the older brother. Hell, he might as well be.
"Gee!" Frank giggled, pressing himself to Gerard's side, laying his head on Gerard's shoulder as they sat side by side at lunch, fingers interlaced under the table.
Gerard rested his head on Frank's, his stomach sinking with utter guilt. He hated lying to Frank. He absolutely couldn't stand it...but here he was. It wasn't right but he was doing it. He pushed his thoughts away with a, "It's for the greater good" and thus he was thrown back into the conversation about...masturbation? Oh, he loved his friends.
