My baby is a year old!!! I'm so happy, I feel so damn old though, even though I'm only twenty-six, Gerard had it a little worse though, him being thirty almost thirty-one. But anyways his birthday fell on a Saturday so that's be day we decided to have his party, even though he most likely won't remember it. It was small, Ray and Christina, Mikey and Kristen, and my mom. About halfway through the party while we were passing the kids around little Frankie decided to throw up all over Mikey, I tried not to laugh but it was pretty funny, Gerard took him into our room to get him a new shirt. While they were upstairs the doorbell rang, everyone was here but I still got up to answer it, I was pretty shocked when I saw Gerard's parents at the door.

"Well hello Frank." Mrs. Way greeted me; Mr. Way was standing behind her with a present in his hands.

"Good afternoon Frank." He said a bit more cheerful.

"Uh hello Mr. and Mrs. Way, please come in." I invited as I opened the door more and let them in.

"Since it is our grandsons first birthday we decided to stop by." She said as she sat down on the sofa, not even bothering to look at the girls that were in Christina and Kristen's arms.

"We really wanted to be here, plus we wanted to meet the girls." Mr. Way said as he looked over Christina who was holding Gee. "Which one is this?" He asked.

"Giovanna, but we call her Gee." I said as I sat down. "Kirsten's holding Francesca, but we call her Frankie."

"Naming your daughters so you can nickname them after yourself, very clever." Mrs. Way said sarcastically.

"It was actually Gerard's idea." I pointed out. Mrs. Way just rolled her eyes.

"May I hold her?" Mr. Way asked.

"Yeah go for it." I encouraged.

He skillfully took little Gee into his own arms and cradled her. She was awake so she was staring back at him and I could tell he was mesmerized by her. She reached out and patted his cheek and he smiled even more at that.

"She's precious." He said still not looking up from her.

"Come on Mikey you know it was funny." Gerard said laughing as he and Mikey came down the stairs, they both stopped when they saw their parents sitting in the living room.

"Mom, dad, what are you guys doing here?" Gerard asked and both he and Mikey went to greet them.

"We're here for our grandsons first birthday." Mr. Way said smiling. "Wouldn't miss it for the world."

"Thanks dad." Gerard said. He looked at his mom who hasn't said anything and was kinda in her own corner and then he turned to me and gave me an apologetic look. I just shrugged my shoulders.

"So who's ready for cake?" I asked in a baby voice as I got closer to Bryce. He clapped his hands and started to bounce in my mom’s lap from excitement. "Come on baby!" Gerard and I went to one side of the table while everyone else went to the opposite side; we had Mikey take pictures of all the three of us. Soon we started to sing happy birthday to peanut who was just so damn excited about everything. When the song ended Gerard and I leaned down and blew out the candle for him and everyone cheered. I handed Bryce to Gerard then cut everyone a slice of cake, except Mrs. Way who said she didn't want any, and then gave Gerard a slice to feed to Bryce who has never had cake before. He really liked it because his whole face lit up and he started to grab chunks of it and shove it in his face. It was so damn cute I had to take pictures of it on my phone. Mikey, my mom, and Gerard's had also took their turn hold Bryce as he ate and took some pictures.

"Mom, do you wanna hold him and take a picture?" Gerard asked.

"Id rather do that when he's clean." She said and sipped on some tea my mom had made for her.

Bryce's face was pretty messy from the chocolate cake with chocolate frosting but who cares? He's a baby, they're always messy, that shouldn't stop her from wanting to hold her grandson. At that same moment Gee and Frankie both started to cry and I immediately knew they were hungry. Gerard must have known that to because he got up and started to make them their bottles. I passed Bryce over to Mikey who started to wrestle with him and took Gee from my mom’s arms and started to feed her when Gerard handed me the bottle, he did the same to Frankie.

"Is that a ring I see on your finger?" Mrs. Way asked.

"Uh, yeah. Gerard and I are engaged." I stated. Everyone already knew, well, except for Gerard's parents apparently.

"Congratulations my boy." His father said then lightly slapped him on the back.

"Well this is a surprise." Mrs. Way said with no emotion and a straight face. "When did his happen?"

"On Christmas." I informed her.

"So you're saying you got engaged over a month ago and decided not to tell the people who gave you life?" She asked rather loudly.

"Yes mom and I'm sorry. But right now is not the time to talk about it." Gerard said.

"I believe it is." She said standing her ground.

"Mom stop! This is my son's first birthday." He said then passed Frankie to Mikey.

"Technically he isn't even your son." Mrs. Way said under her breath, but loud enough for everyone to hear.

"That's it!" Gerard shouted as he snapped, "Get the fuck out! You can throw your little jabs at me all you want; but if you ever disrespect my children again you will never see me or them again, that's a promise. Bryce is my son just as much as I'm your son, same thing go for my girls. Now until Frank, Bryce, and I get sincere apologize you will not step within a hundred feet of us. Get out." He said and pointed to the door.

"Gerard Arthur Way, I am your mother."

"And I am their father." He said firmly.

"Are you going to let him talk to me like that?" Mrs. Way asked her husband.

"If you're going to talk to him, his fiancé, and his children like that then he has the right to talk like that to you." He stated.

"Thank you dad." Gerard said.

"You can sleep in a different hotel room tonight." Mrs. Way said pointing a finger at her husband; she then grabbed her purse and walked out of the house. Mr. Way grabbed his jacket and put it on.

"As much as I'd like to stay, I live with her and I don't wanna sleep on the sofa. Goodbye son, and I truly and happy for you." Mr. Way said then hugged both of his sons, left a kiss on all of his grandchildren's heads, then gave me a hug, then left.

"I'm sorry you guys had to see that." Gerard apologized to everyone then walked up the stairs, I knew he was still upset so I passed Gee along and excused myself from the party and went to find him. When I did he was lying on our bed, he saw me come in and close the door and started to apologize.

"I'm sorry for making an outburst at his party but I was so sick of how she keeps treating you and when she said-" I cut him off by kissing him.

"I find it incredibly sexy that you stood up for your family." I said as I ran one of my fingers down his chest.

"Really?" He asked with a smirk.

"Uh huh." I said then moved my face really close to his, he moved to kiss me but I stopped him and kissed his neck. "If I could I would show you how turned on it gets me." I said as I started to rub my half hard on his thigh. I heard him groan out.
