I'm Not Okay

"Oh shit Frankie I never thought about that." Gerard said. "What should we do?"

"First of all we should ask Dr. Shannon; maybe she covered it up it something." I tried.

"Okay, let's go." He said getting off of me and running over to the coat rack and tossing my hoodie. I thanked him then put it on and we started to leave the house. We were heading down the drive way and almost at the car when I stopped him.

"Wait!" He stopped to give me a weird look, "We have a baby." I said then turned around and ran (well as fast a pregnant person could) into the house and inside peanuts room where we was sleeping in the crib. I picked him up and he woke up for a minute before snuggling into my neck then falling asleep again. I started to go downstairs but Gerard was at the door of the stairs stopping me.

"Maybe we should call in and ask, or wait till your next appointment."

"My next appointment is in four days, a lot can happen in four days."

"Then let's call in and ask, it will be suspicious if two gay men and their baby walk into a doctor’s office meant for pregnant woman."

"Why do you have to be right?" I said then rested my head on his shoulder and he wrapped his arms around me.

"Well one of us had to be." He said then kissed my head.

"Okay, well I'm gonna take peanut up to our bed and nap with him, can you call and find out about please?"

"Depends."

"I'll suck you off."

"Deal." He said quicker than needed to.

"Horn dog." I said then kissed his lips.

"Only for you babe." He said then smacked my ass as I walked back up the stairs. When Bryce and I got into my room I laid down with him till snuggled into my neck and pulled the blanket over the two of us, it didn't take long for me to fall asleep.

"Babe wake up." Gerard said softly into my ear.

"So babies and I are sleeping." I said then held Bryce tighter to me. Apparently Bryce was awake because he started pulling on my hair.

"Fine take this one," I said keeping my eyes closed and holding him above me, I felt Gerard take him and I wrapped my arms around my somewhat swollen belly. "These two and I will be sleeping."

"Babe I need to tell you something."

"Is it important?"

"Yes."

"Then it can wait.” I said then curled into a ball on my bed. I didn’t hear Gerard leaving so I knew he was still there. “Fine what?” I asked as I opened my eyes and sat up.

“My parents are here, they heard about the whole Lynz, Bryce, you, and me thing and they flew in. They wanna meet Bryce and you.”

“But they already met me.” I said as I bit my nails.

“Meet you as my boyfriend.”

“Oh…”

“Okay, you get dressed and hide the twins while I let them meet Bryce.” He said then started walking away with the baby.

“Hold on a second. I don’t know if I want Bryce down there just yet.” I said as I bit my lip.

“What do you have against my parents meeting their grandson?” He asked rather defensively.

“Nothing, but I know how much your parents loved Lynz and they probably think you’ve traded her in for me and Bryce without so much as a phone call. I mean did you even tell your parents you and Lynz were separated?”

Slowly his face softened and he shook his head.

“See what I mean, let me take Bryce down their while you talk to them and try to get them to understand without them knowing I was actually pregnant.”

“Okay fine.” He said putting peanut down on the bed then coming over to me. “I love you, forever and always.” He said then kissed me softly. When he pulled away he gave me a small smile then headed down the stairs.

Okay, hide the twins then go downstairs to face Gerard’s parents. Easy right? Well I think they like me from the last time I saw them, I’ve also known them for a few years and they have never expressed any problems so that’s a good sign right? I quickly threw on one of Gerard’s oversized jackets that hide the bump quite well and slid on a pair of pants, it wasn’t the best outfit to wear when meeting a partners parents but it’s the best that can hide the twins. Alright, well here goes nothing. I picked up Bryce who was fascinated with my jacket and proceeded to drool on it while I carried him down the stairs. I took a deep breath before entering the room, as I did everyone fell silent and all eyes were on me and the baby.

“Mom, you know Frank and this is our son Bryce.” Gerard said as he came by me and put his hand on my waist.

“I have so many questions dear but the first one is – can I hold him?” Donna asked.

I bit my lip but nodded as I handed my baby over to Donna, when I did I kept my eyes glued to them just in case anything happened. Donna held him where she would be able to and inspect his face. Donald, her husband leaned in over her side and smiled as he looked at Bryce. Bryce proceed on smiling and making weird noises from his mouth as he was being looked over by his grandparents.

“He is adorable.” Donald said.

“Thank you.” Gerard and I said at the same time.

“Your enthusiasm is overwhelming mother.” Gerard commented, Donna had a small smile on her face but it also looked like she was kinda judging peanut.

“It's not that I’m not happy I’m a grandmother, which I am by the way. I’m just surprised you didn’t have this baby with Lynz. You two were so perfect for each other.” Okay, self confidence destroyed.

“Mom, we weren’t, we had a lot of problems for a long time now. A major one of them being I’m gay just didn’t want to accept it, and when I did I met the perfect man.” He said then held my hand.

“Gerard sweetheart why didn’t you ever mention any of this to any of us?”

“I was ashamed, but now I’m not. I have the man of my dreams and were starting a family together, we are in the process of making a new album, and-”

“What do you mean you two are starting a family?” She asked.

Gerard looked at me and his eyes widened as he realized he made a mistake when speaking; I sighed and nodded my head telling him it was okay to tell them.

“We aren’t really telling people yet but a few weeks ago Bryce’s birth mother came in contact with Frank and told him she was expecting form the same man who got her pregnant with Bryce, she expressed that she wanted to keep the kids together and asked if we would take them, and we agreed.” He explained.

“Them?”

“She’s carrying twins.”

“I don’t know what to say.” She said.

“I do.” Donald says speaking up, “congratulations to the both of you and son, I’m glad you found your happiness, now I wanna hold his cutie.” He said as he took Bryce from his wife and started to play with him. I was a little more at easy as he took peanut then when Donna did. I just hop Donna grows to like us more.
