Saturday

"Oh", Frank said, blushing madly as it dawned upon him what Jamie had announced. "Th-that's cool, that's cool", Frank said. He was a strong believer in rights regarding orientation and equality, but he couldn't help but feel a twinge of confusion. Her and Ray seemed to be getting along so well, like they were going to become something more. But oh well, it's who Jamie was. Maybe Ray could find someone like he had found Jane. Which was making him wonder, when the hell was she going to get up? He wanted to see her, and be with her; consciously, that is.

"So you're hitting it off with Jane", Jamie said with a smile. "I'll talk to her about it some time. I can sense she's got a thing for you, too, cutie!" Jamie exclaimed while chuckling. Frank just blushed again and a wave of rather angry butterflies stormed through his stomach. "Y-you think so?" Frank said, his voice small but filled with excitement and hope. Jamie just nodded and bit her lip with a big smile.

Frank smiled hugely in return and rocked back and forth a little bit in glee. "See, we can be happy. We're not as broken as we feel", Jamie said and leaned back in her beanbag. "I still think I'm broken", Ray said quietly. Frank turned his head to look at Ray. He frowned, knowing what he meant. "Me too", Frank agreed softly. Then he noticed something on Ray. It was faded, but he could see a reddish line going across his neck. Frank's heart sank as he realized what Ray had tried to do, and probably no too long ago by the looks of the mark. "It's, ah... Um, gonna be okay, though. We're here now, and this camp is supposed to make us better, right?" Frank tried to assure. "Well, whatever better is for us, that is", he added. Ray nodded and looked down into his lap and twiddled his thumbs. "That's the spirit, Frankie ole' boy!" Jamie said in a old-timer-baseball-coach voice. That made both boys smile a little, which made Jamie smile another big smile. "All will be well", she said and threw her head back to look up at the ceiling.

The rain continued to come down hard and the thunder continued to rumble throughout the rest of their little lunch discussion. Ray told them of his life at home. Parents who were never around, lonely kid at school whose only wish is to make music. Bullied to the point where he questioned life itself, and put it on the line not too long ago. Frank had teared up during parts of ray's story. A lot of it he could relate to. Which made him feel good; he wasn't in this horrible boat of depression and depression-filled-tendencies alone. "But now I'm here", Ray said as he was finishing up his story. "Hopefully it means I'll be happy sometime by the end of the summer", he said with a small smile. Frank nodded, his eyes still teary. Jamie just smiled. "All will be well", she said. Just then Jane could be heard stirring, beginning to wake up. She groaned a little bit as sat up, but when she finally recognized her surroundings and saw Frank staring up at her a small smile grew on her face. "Hi guys", she said in a slightly raspy, post-nap voice. Frank waved a little, and Ray gave a small smile. "You missed a hell of a bonding session! Come on over!" Jamie exclaimed, waving Jane's sandwich around and gesturing for her to join the small circle of broken souls.

Hi guys, I'm the worst at updating :( hopefully I can get back into the groove of things. But unfortunately school is starting up for me on Thursday so I can't promise frequent updates. I'll try hard though!
