You're Eyes are Getting Tired

So much Coffee

I don’t really know what I was thinking when I gave Frank my number. First of all, I have a girlfriend. What the hell would she think if she found out I did that. It wasn’t even a simple ‘Hey man, here’s my number. Call me and we can be friends.’ No, it was more like a ‘Hey you, you’re hot. I want to kiss you. Here’s my number.’ I mentally slapped myself.
I skipped my next class and walked down to the coffee shop down the street. I walked in and ordered myself a large black coffee, then sat in a booth in the back of the shop. I pulled out my sketchbook and started to draw. I drew and drew, and by the time I was done, it was lunchtime. I sighed and got up from the booth.
I walked into the cafeteria at school and saw Cass and my friends at our usual table. On my way over to it, I noticed Frank was sitting by himself. I walked over to him and he looked up from his tray of food. “Hey Frankie!” I shot him a big tooth grin. He smiled at me. “C’mon, get up. You’re coming to sit with me.” He looked hesitant. “Oh, come on Frankie. We don’t bite.” He stood up and grabbed his tray, then followed me to our table. I heard someone call him a faggot and I stopped. “WHO SAID THAT?!” I yelled out. “It’s fine, don’t worry about it Gerard.” Frank said. “Yeah, Gerard. Listen to the little fag.” I looked over and saw that it was the quarterback of the football team, Josh, who had said it. Now, I will admit, he was a pretty big dude and I would never try to fight him, but he totally changed my mind on that when he dared to call MY Frankie a Faggot. I marched over to him and got in his face. “What the fuck did you call him?” I said and the whole cafeteria went silent. “I. Called. Him. A. Faggot.” He said. I brought my arm up, and swung. He went down and I saw blood coming from his nose. I smiled knowing that I probably broke it. I squatted down so i was in his face again. “Don’t you ever call him that, you piece of shit. He is an amazing person, so don’t you dare judge him without knowing him first.” I spat, then stood back up. “Come on Frankie. I’m not letting you stay in here with all of these judgemental assholes.” I said, then grabbed his tray from him and threw it away. I looked at Cass and she had a look of realization on her face. I sighed and walked out of the cafeteria, with Frank following behind.
“W-Wow.” Frank said after we were out of the cafeteria. “No one has ever done anything like that for me, before. Thank you Gerard.” He said. I turned to him and smiled. “Frankie, I wasn’t just going to let him treat you like that. Not while I’m around. You’re too nice of a person to stand up for yourself and I hate it. You deserve so much better.” I said. I felt my hand go up to his face, and I brushed a piece of hair away from his eyes. I looked into his eyes and I was mesmerized. They were a bright hazel color, and I realized that I might be falling for him. “Come on.” I said, then grabbed his hand and ran out of the school, to the parking lot. We got to my bike and I handed him Cassidy’s helmet. “Put it on.” I said, then I put mine on. He slipped the helmet on, then got on the bike behind me. “You’re gonna want to hold on!” I yelled to him over the bikes engine. He wrapped his delicate arms around my waist, and I drove forward.
I drove us to the coffee shop that I was at earlier.
We went in and he smiled at me. “Get whatever you want, it’s on me.” i said. He thanked me and ordered. I got my usual, then paid. We got our drinks, then we went and sat in the booth I sat in earlier.
He sat next to me and I noticed his legs dangled off of the seat because he was too short to reach the floor. He started wiggling his legs back and forth and I smiled at him. “What?” He asked me with a smile. “You’re just so damn cute. How did I not notice you before?” I said and he blushed. “I don’t know, Gee.” Now it was my turn to blush. “W-What’s wrong?” He asked. “You called me Gee. Only Cass has ever called me Gee, but to be honest, I like hearing it from you, more.” I said and he grinned. “Wow, Gee. I never thought I would be here talking to you like this.” I looked at him and cocked an eyebrow. “Why?” I asked him and he let out a sigh. “Because you are so in love with Cassidy, that I just never really knew if you ever paid attention to anyone but her.” I looked at him and thought. I do love Cassidy, but I also really like Frank. I saw that he was staring at my lips, and I leaned in and pressed them to his.
We were kissing for a just a few seconds, when I heard the bell on the door go off, then a yell. “GERARD?!” I broke away and looked up to see Cassidy staring right at us. Frank looked like he was going to cry.
Shit.
