The Light Behind Your Eyes

Mikey's POV

Alicia had finally convinced me to join them. I would only have to be their guardian. So I agreed of course to keep my girlfriend safe. So we walked down to the park. They all sat in a circle and I sat out of it. "Come on Mikey! Have some fun." Missy said taking a drag and passing it to Lindsey. I rolled my eyes and went on my phone texting. Hours later, everyone was high off their minds. They laughed at everything and anything. And kept repeating everything. Well....Missy and Lindsey were. That was until Rain's phone rang. They looked at it, looked at each other, then laughed. They all pointed at it laughing their asses off and falling on their backs. I stood up and snatched her phone. It was Patrick. But her brother is Pete..?

"H- hello?" I asked waking away from the group to talk. "Hey, is this Gerard? Rain's boyfriend?" I gulped, "No." "Who is this then?" "Her boyfriend's little brother." "Oh well, Pete wants Rain home now. He's at work and he's worried. So just bring her home please?" My eyes went wide with fear. Complete fear because I don't know how he would react to his brother's sister being high. I bit my lip and looked back to the laughing people. I walked back over and grabbed Rain's arm. She snapped up and smiled, "Hey Bikey....sorry I mean...Mikey!" She laughed hardly. "We have to go Patrick wants you home...well Pete does and Patrick needs to watch you until then so we have to go."

Her face went slightly serious. "Oh no! What am I going to do!" She laughed even harder and I snapped, "Well act sober." I picked her up and threw her over my shoulder. "Bye guys!!!" She waved as they laughed falling over. "Where do you live?!" I asked stopping and putting her down. "Here." She gave me her phone and said, "Take me home." The phone showed directions and I nodded and took it. I threw her back over my shoulder. "Mikey." She whispered tapping me as I walked. "What?" She pointed at the guy walking down the sidewalk. "Look at his beard." She went into a giggle fit and the bearded guy looked pretty pissed. "Sorry, she's uh she just got back from the dentist and the spray thing."

I explained trying not to get beat up. He just nodded and I continued walking. I stopped in front f a huge house and dropped her. I led her to the door and knocked. The door opened to Patrick eating a sandwich. He chewed and swallowed. "Hey...is she okay?" He asked. I gulped for the millionth time today. Just come out and say it. "She's high." Patrick's eyes popped out of his skull and he choked on the sandwich. Instead of getting mad and not letting her in, Patrick burst into laughter. After he had finished laughing he wiped his eyes, "Oh my God, how the hell!" he burst into another fit of giggles. He took a deep breath and sighed. "Okay, just, Pete doesn't get off until midnight, she'd be okay right? Sober? Pete would kill her if she got high."

Patrick asked scratching the back of his neck. "Yeah she should be fine. I'll uh see you later Rain." I said hugging her and walking away.

Rain's POV

Patrick helped me in as I fell. "Oops." I giggled. Patrick laughed and helped me upstairs. He threw me on the bed and kissed my cheek. "Get some sleep Sunshine." That's when I closed my eyes.

And what I didn't know.

Was....


That wouldn't be my last encounter with drugs.

So sorry it was a short chapter. And there will be a skip. A huge one they will be 25. Where MCR starts. It's going to be about 9/11. So if that gets to you in a bad way or something then don't read it. But it's part of the story so uh yeah...I hope you do read though. Comment and stuff, thanks for the comments though means a lot.
