The Light Behind Your Eyes

Rain's POV

"Gee?" I called dipping my spoon further into the ice cream before pushing the cold goodness into my mouth. I tilted my head back overwhelmed by the goodness. Pregnancy makes anything taste good. "Uh yeah?!" Gerard called back his voice muffled due to the door of his office halfway closed. "Come here please!" I called back giggling. "Oh!" he shot back. I heard the door open a bit and footsteps of Gerard's. He walked in with a smile on his face and a pen behind his ear. "Yeeesss?" He asked dragging the word out before kissing my cheek. "What are we gonna paint the nursery. I mean we need to get started on that! I'm already seven months!" (A/N: Tiiiimmmmmeee skip!)

He tapped his chin, "We can make it My Chemical Romance themed!" He shouted scaring me and causing me to drop my spoon. He laughed and I raised my brow, "You want our newborn little Bandit to have a room that might scare her to death." He chuckled. "Hey! You finally called her Bandit I knew you secretly liked the name!" He exclaimed snapping. I sighed, defeated, "Okay, okay, you got me. I love the name. It's so fucking sick!" He jumped up and down excitedly, "I told you!!" I laughed. "So, how about that? We can do that please please please pl- " I cut him off by placing my hand over his mouth. He then felt his tongue slide across my fingers. I pulled away quickly before gasping.

"What the fuck! Ew you licked me!" I couldn't help but giggle. He laughed, "Told ya not to cover my mouth." He said. I rolled my eyes. "Fine, we'll paint her room MCR themed." I gave in. He clapped his hands and said, "Great! I'll go get everything." He kissed my lips before grabbing his keys and speeding off. I laughed to myself and finished that yummy already melting ice cream because Bandit demanded more. I sat on the couch and went on Twitter. People were still tweeting stuff about Gerard and I's makeup and it was pretty funny. Gerard wasn't coming home anytime soon so i just decided to fall asleep.

I woke up and looked around. I was still on the couch and I checked the time. It was already ten. I sat up and looked out the window. Gerard's car was here. I searched each room when I heard a girl's laugh from upstairs. My heart stopped and shattered. Was he really cheating on me?! I then heard Gerard's sweet laugh and more whispers. It was coming from upstairs. "Gee?" i called coming upstairs. "Shit!" I hear Gerard exclaim. More shuffles and thuds and whispers. This was breaking my heart. He really was cheating! "Hide it!!" Gerard whispered. I was already touching the knob of the nursery. When it opened making me jump back. "Who's the fucking girl?!" I asked looking behind him.

He covered my sight and closed the door behind him. He laughs nervously before kissing me slightly. A layer of sweat covered him along with paint. That confused me. "Gerard let me out." The voice whispered. Gerard shot me a smile and I crossed my arms. He opened the door quickly and dragged the girl out before slamming it shut. "Hi!" She waved. My jaw dropped. "CHANTAL!!!!!!!!" I screeched pulling her into a tight hug. "Hi Rain! How have you been?!" "Great! I mean we're both sober and just....ugh it's great." I exclaimed hugging her again. "I've missed you so much!" She smiled and nodded, "I've been busy. Gerard invited me to help with the nursery. He saw you were asleep and didn't want to wake you."

I looked at Gerard with an apologetic look and hugged him. "Can I see it?" "Yeah, it's finished. Took us all day." Gerard informed taking my hand and opening the door. I gasped. The walls were painted different colors with Batman symbols covering it. Her crib was painted so bats were scattered all over it. She had a dresser and changing station and there was My Chemical Romance and band posters on some walls. There was so many different themes. Some were MCR and Batman and just so many others. I covered my mouth and looked at Gerard. "God how did I score a man like you?" I asked shaking my head. He snaked his arms around my waist, "Question is, how did I score a girl like you." He replied kissing my temple.

I looked at Chantal and hugged her also. "Thank you so much the both of you." I stated with a smile. "No sweat Love." Gerard replied and Chantal nodded. "It was my pleasure." She replied. Her phone buzzed and she texted back. She swung her bag onto her shoulder, "Jimmy's missing me. I have to go." "Aww I wish you could stay." She shrugged, "Me too but you know Jimmy." I laughed, "Sadly, yes." She laughed harder and gave me a tight hug. "See you soon okay?" She turned to Gerard, "And remember, don't be afraid." She winked and kissed both of our cheeks. She walked out of the room and the front door closed.

"Hey, I found something in the garage when I was looking for the big paint brushes." Gerard said before jogging downstairs. I waddled my way downstairs and he pulled a bag and handed it to me. I looked at him and he nodded telling me to look in it. I slowly looked in with caution and gasped. "I can't believe you kept it!" I exclaimed pulling the bloodstained brick out of the bag. "I had to. I ran back at night after you went home. I wanted the memory to live on." I sighed contently and said, "That brick made us fall in love." He nodded, "it did huh."

*Flashback Time!*~Gerard's POV~

I was walking home from school happily. Rain kissed me today. I'm always the one that kisses her. And she was the one this time. And I loved it. I walked through the park when I heard, "He's heeeerrreeee!" Someone sang. Fuck I totally forgot about them. Rose and her group would wait for us at the park to beat us up. Thank God Rain wasn't here. I hated to see them beat her up. "Emo! Come here emo emo emo!" Rose cooed like I was a dog. I rolled my eyes and turned my music up. Then they were yanked out of my ears. "We're talking to you!" Craig hissed. "And?" I asked. "Whoa whoa whoa! Don't to Craig like that!" Craig warned. "I'm sorry but we're not cavemen. We don't say our own names. If we were I would say Gerard angry at jackass Craig. And he need to suck his own dick and leave Gerard alone."

I snapped back trying to walk away. That's when Craig's fist collided with my jaw knocking me to the floor. I groaned as he sat on my stomach and pounded my face. "Get him! Get him good Craig!" Rose called. "Hey! Fuck off will ya!" The sweetest voice yelled. Rain. I smiled slightly. Rain had gotten stronger over the three month span in school. She was done with Craig and Rose's shit. So she could kick anyone's ass. Craig stood up and turned to her. "What the fuck did you say emo?" He asked slowly. "Fuck. Off." She spat. Craig swung his fist into Rain's face knocking her out. "RAIN!!" I screeched as Craig sat back on me.

I scrambled up and ran to her but was stopped by something choking me. It was Craig choking me with his own headphones. I choked and coughed, fighting for air. Craig and everyone laugh. My eyes closed and I was ready to have the darkness take over me. That's when I was released and fell to the floor face forward. I pushed myself up on my palms and looked behind me. Craig was on the floor knocked out. Rain stood above him with a brick in her hand, her knees were scraped up and she was smiling her signature lip gloss smile. Blood covered the brick and Rose ran to Craig's lifeless body. "Are you fucking crazy?!" Rain wildly looked at her, "Wanna find out?" She asked nearing towards her.

Rose looked terrified and shook her head. Everyone surrounded him and Rain went to me. She held her hand out and I took it. "C'mon. We gotta go before they tell someone." I took it and she dropped the brick before running off, dragging me behind. We both laughed like little kids and stopped when we reached her house. "I can't come in. I have band practice." I said catching my breath. She nodded and hugged me. I kissed her and pulled away. "Rain...?" I asked carefully. She looked scared, "Yes Gee?" "I think I'm in love with you." I stuttered. Her eyes went wide. "I love you." She said quickly. A huge smile took over my scared one and I hugged her. "I have to go." I said. "Okay." She whispered.

"I love you." I replied kissing her cheek and running off. "Love you too!" I heard her call.

That night, I snuck back to the park and with a flashlight, I went to the spot where the fight was. I picked up the bloody brick. I just had to have it. This brought us love. It needed to be remembered. I hugged it close as I ran off back home.

Notes

So I loved this chapter. The brick is cute. How they fell in love. And it was kinda based off of Summertime by MCR. So you know the drill...comments, questions?
