“So who are you?”

The woman turned to face Jenny as she stood in the corner of the kitchen; watching the stranger intently. Her head rested in her hands with her elbows leaning onto her dark blue skinny jeans as a broad smile began to form on her lips. “You already know my name” The woman replied sweetly, sitting up and folding her arms against her grey hoody as she spoke. Jenny sighed irritably, rubbing her temples impatiently as she limped towards her, kneeling down before her and stared almost menacingly into her eyes.

“I don’t have the patience for your shit Andrea, you either tell me who you are or ill have them turf you back out with the walkers” She sneered, gesturing towards the men who stood around the room. Gerard’s eyes grew wide at her hostility; he had never seen her act like this before. “Jen, I’m sure she...” Jenny glanced back, flashing him an irritated look and silencing him immediately before turning back to the blonde haired women who sat on the floor.

Andrea shrugged, locking eyes with Jenny as she continued to smile. “Well as I’ve said before I’m Andrea...I worked as a medic in the army for a few years before becoming an activist before the outbreak” She explained, nodding in satisfaction as Jenny broke away from her gaze; she might have explained herself but she still wasn’t convinced. There was something about her that was off, that put her on edge.

Then again after Lindsey, how could she trust anyone again?

“So you’re a doctor? Gerard asked, slowly walking towards the centre of the room, placing his hands on his hips as he stood by the door. Andrea smiled, looking him up and down as he moved; he was pretty hot. She eyed his body, trying to imagine what he kept hidden under that shirt. She nodded slowly, her eyes falling on each of the men as she followed them around the room; examining them; subtly undressing them in her mind as she silently noted how attractive they all were. Gerard glanced over at Levi rolling his eyes.

She was going to be trouble.

I wouldn’t mind getting into his pants Andrea thought as she caught Frank’s eye. He shifted uncomfortably on the spot as he hung his head slightly. She made him nervous. The fact that he recognised her, the unexplainable feeling that he knew this woman once made him feel uneasy. But now she was looking at him, her beautiful blue eyes moving up and down his body him that sickeningly sweet smile that sent chills down his spine.

Suddenly, her smile faded. Andrea quickly rose to her feet, narrowing her eyes as she stared at Frank’s arm. “That’s quite a wound you’ve got there” She said coldly, gesturing at the bandage on his arm. Frank looked down at his arm, his eyes widening with horror as he realised the mistake he had made of rolling up his sleeves and quickly rolled them back down again; clearing his through nervously as he struggled to think of an excuse. “That was my fault...a walker was about to take a chunk out of him so I stabbed it... only I slipped and accidently cut Frank with the knife” Gerard explained stepping forward and placing an arm around his boyfriends shoulders; expressing a false smile as he spoke. Andrea raised an eyebrow, studying their faces for any trace of false truth before shrugging them off. “Can’t argue with that I suppose, I mean if he was bitten he would have turned by now right?” She replied turning and smiling at Frank as she took a seat at the kitchen table.

Billie sat quietly in the living room, listening to the group drone on about drama that had happened before the apocalypse. He took another swig from the unmarked beer can, looking out absentmindedly outside and onto the street; noticing how empty it was tonight. His mind kept wandering back to Jenny, how soft her skin was, those gorgeous eyes you could lose yourself in, and those lips, those pink, kissable lips he found irresistible.

He rose to his feet, storming out of the living room and into the kitchen; he had made a promise not to get emotionally involved with anyone; especially with someone who was already in a relationship. Billie leaned against the counter, staring out into the garden as he pressed his forehead against cold glass of the window pane. It was almost worrying that someone could have that effect on him again but at the same time; he almost enjoyed it. “What’s on your mind Bill?” Jenny asked, raising an eyebrow as Billie as he snapped back to reality; startled as he glanced back and saw her standing behind him. Billie grinned, shrugging her off as he took another sip of beer. “You scared the shit out of me” He said quietly, staring into the dark waters of his beverage.

Jenny giggled, moving beside him to reach up for another glass in the cupboard. She placed her hand down on the counter, touching Billie’s hand for a moment. He looked at her, locking eyes with her for a second only to find himself unable to break away. “Oh...sorry” She muttered quickly, breaking away from his gaze. Her heart fluttered as her cheeks began to blush a pale red. She quickly turned her head away; almost ashamed at herself for acting like this. Stop being an idiot she scolded herself as she pulled out a glass from one of the cupboards; resting it on the counter as she turned on the tap.

A warm hand gently rested upon hers. Jenny turned her head to find Billie’s fingers wrapped around her hand, staring at her with a loving expression she had never seen from him before. “You know I care about you Jen” He said softly, stroking a strand of hair out of her pallid face as he spoke. Jenny hung her head, nervously clearing her throat as she moved her hand away from his. “No Billie...No” She said sadly and walked out of the room. Billie stood there for a moment, watching her leave before slapping his forehead. “Idiot” He cursed, dragging his hand down his face as a horrid feeling of regret washed over him.
