The Traveler

I drove faster and faster passing zone after zone. I turned the radio on and listened to the only thing aside from the mind controlling blabber SCARECROW played. "109 in the sky but the pigs won't quit." That made no sense you fool. Well unless you're talking about the saying " when pigs fly " but you couldn't have used that because your wording was incorrect." Dr. Death defying." I heard his supposed name. "Silly little name for a silly little man." I say listening closer for a location. He was at least forty possibly older and by the sound of his voice and the placement of the microphone it was almost as If he had to lean up to speak. Either he was short, sitting down, or wheel chair bound. I sighed and tried my best to stop over analyzing. "Here." I say as the radio waves even out. "Na an na-" I switch the radio off and scan my surroundings. I find a hidden tarp covering an entrance easy to spot given the size and length or the sand covered tarp was slightly different from its surroundings. I drive a little closer and step out. "Hello." I say to the small hole in the tarp. It shook slightly signaling the body had left and most likely called for others. I sigh and turn around analyzing the terrain again. "Who are you." Jersey. Tall male. Over thirty possibly thirty four or three. "I should be asking you that question." I say turning around knocking his gun out of his hand and kicking his legs from underneath him grabbing his arm and pinning him onto the ground. I pointed the gun at his head. "It's not even charged, I can feel it. Don't make empty threats boy." I said letting him up pushing him away from me. His companions stand slack jawed aside from a mask wearing one who tries to shoot at me his anger evident. I stare straight at him and dodge his bullet easily. He was shorter and seemed to have an array of things scattered across his arm. There was a silence and I cut it in half. "As I asked before. Who are you." I asked irritation seething out of me. "Fabulous Killjoys. I'm party poison, the curly hairs guy is Jet Star, the helmet wearing dork is my brother Kobra kid, and the guy that just shot you is Fun Ghoul." The man with the red hair that first attacked me said. I nod and walk over to fun ghoul. "Don't shoot at me again asshole." I said taking his gun and putting it on safety after draining the battery power from it. I instead put the power I stole into Party Poisons gun. "Why are you here." I asked. "Running away and defying battery city obviously." Fun ghoul said sarcastically. "And why are you our here? Come crawling for a long lost family?" He continued to tease me. I growled and turned to him shooting his leg. He yelled and clutched his leg. "No you jackass I have no family. Running away much like you." I said before the others detained me and carried my inside a building previously poorly hidden. "What the hell was that for?!" Fun ghoul growled clawing at the air in an attempt to hurt me. "Stop being such a baby. It'll hurt but I didn't fracture a bone. It'll heal in a week or less since it was a clean shot." I said rolling my eyes and dismissing his grumbles and occasional yelps of pain. The other boys pulled me aside and looked pretty pissed. "It won't happen unless he irks me." I said easing their anger. "Come with us to your temporary quarters." Party said a frown never leaving his face
