Hey Mr. Way

I remained silent as Tyler stormed out, turning to flip Gerard off before slamming the door behind him. The class turned to face me.
'' Get on with your work class, '' Gerard sighed, saving me from the questioning stares from everyone. I looked down glumly at my work, not really in the mood for it after what had just happened. I knew that everyone was gonna find out the truth sooner or later, Tyler will probably force it out of me somehow. I felt my eyes prickle and tears slowly start to form, and I tried to keep them back, which made me get a lump in my throat.
'' M-mr. Way? '' I choked out, strugling to breathe properly as a result of trying to hold back the tears.
'' Do you wanna go outside Frank? '' he asked softly and I nodded, getting up and out of the classroom quickly.
Gerard came out two minutes later and I let go, bursting out into floods of tears. He wrapped his arms around me and told me to calm down, stroking my hair to soothe me.
'' Shh Frankie it's all gonna be okay, '' he whispererd, '' what's bothering you? ''
'' I just...'' I said, trying to stop crying and get my words out.
'' Take your time, '' Gerard said softly.
'' I just...I feel really bad, '' I sighed, the tears coming to a stop finally.
'' What for? ''
'' Basically, it's like my mind is torn in two, one part of me wants to see my mum again and go back and live with her, but another part wants to stay with you forever and never leave even if that means them never finding her again. That's what I feel bad about. ''
'' It's okay Frankie I understand. Listen I'm expecting a call from them any time soon telling me that they've found your mum and that you can go back with her. After you leave school for college and you're 16 you can move out and live with me. ''
'' Okay, thank's Gerard, '' I smiled as he cupped my face in his hands and wiped away the last tears.
