The Hardest Part of This Is Leaving You

"What's wrong hun?"
"IthinkweshouldbreakupMikey" I nearly sobbed. He looked at me sadly. We were both close to tears already and I just wanted to kiss him. Forget I'd said what I'd said and just watch TV together. I even fluttered my eyes repeatedly to convince myself that it wasn't happening.
"O...Okay I want you to be happy.......even if I'm not the one making you happy....I.....I l.....Love you Bird Girl" Mikey choked out.
"I love you to" I cried out pulling him into a tight hug. I heard soft footsteps behind us.
" Raven, Mike's do you want some coff........" I heard Gerard say "Oh I'm sorry I'll just......" He mumbled quietly backing away.

*Mikeys POV*

Raven called me up an hour or two after I left. She sounded worried and scared so the moment she asked to come over I immediately agreed despite it being near midnight. She sat down soundlessly lips pursed together. She just kept looking down at her worn converse.
"What's wrong hun?" She scooted away. The words she said next felt like a dagger to my throat.
"IthinkweshouldbreakupMikey" she was almost crying already. If she didn't want to break up why would she? I looked at her and she averted her eyes. I was running out of air at least that's how it felt. I felt my throat closing up and I felt as if being stabbed repeatedly. "O...Okay I want you to be happy.....even if I'm not the one to make you happy ......I....I l....love you Bird Girl" I said strangled. It hurt but I didn't want to hurt her . They say that if you love someone let them go and even though I thought it was utter bullshit I knew that she deserved me respecting her wishes.
"I love you to" she whispered.
