The Hardest Part of This Is Leaving You

Mikey kissed me lightly before walking me to my door once we got to my house.
"Are you gonna be okay alone?" He whispered kindly.
"Yeah I'll be fine but uhmm do you wanna stay for some coffee" I asked opening the door. He nodded kissing my forehead.
" Hey sis you're home....." My brother exclaimed happily rushing to grab me in a hug "And you brought him" bye frowned a bit.
"oh do you want him to leave?" I asked sheepishly "He's just staying for coffee" he nodded.
"Okay but I need to talk to you later ok sis?" I nodded and Mikey shifted uncomfortably. When Mikey left Robin sat me down on the couch.
"I think you should break up with Mikey" he whispered grabbing my hand "I uhmm I went in your room....I got in a fight with Tyler...I was looking for you.... something caught my eye.....I found your razors and I looked and I found the booze to" I stared at him mouth agape.
"I...I'm sorry" I sobbed and he just patted my back.
" I'm not gonna tell mom but I think it'd be better for you I love you and I know how happy you guys make each other but that's the thing, you shouldn't have to be the only reason why each of you are alive, until you get better please break up" he looked at me kindly.
"O....Okay" I nodded eyes brimmed with tears. That's the thing about depression I assumed. Even if you're okay for a little while it still comes back. Mikey could only keep my head above water so long. I needed to do it on my own, I might not be better but I needed to get better.
