The Hardest Part of This Is Leaving You

I came to about an hour later my mind foggy and blank. I don't remember much besides stumbling out of the bathroom trembling and being driven home by Frankie. Then I slipped down down down back into unconscious. It was sorta peaceful ,nothingness, blankness, darkness. I heard people saying things but it was a foreign language one I couldn't comprehend. Frankies.Moms.Mr.Way. A few voices I didn't. Yes it was peaceful chaos then it was nothing. * Bright lights. Flashing. Loud sounds. Light beeping. I felt light sheets and I let out a moan. Everything stopped. The voices everything. Then I heard a sob. I opened my eyes a bit. I was in a hospital room surrounded by worried faces. My mom sat right next to me and looked like she was praying or crying or both. At my light sound she snapped to alertness. "Raven! She's awake, she awake,she's awake" she began sobbing into my stomach. "Raven" Frank, who stood by a window across the room said cautiously "Can I have my sweatshirt back?" He grinned at my grabbing my hand. I tried to croak out a reply but couldn't. Soon nurses and a doctor rushed in saying that they needed to do tests now that I was awake and that everyone who isn't family should leave. Frank refused to and nurses begrudgingly left him alone as he sat in a nearby chair. Mr.Way , who I hadn't noticed before, left quietly. The doctors did blood tests and whatnot me fading in and out waiting for results.
Frank began talking to my mom who clearly loved him to bits.After a while the nurses made sure I had enough enough fluids so I wouldnt be dehydrated. By that point I could talk again.
"Frankie?" I whispered as loudly as my voice would allow. My mom and Frank looked at me.
"Yes Raven Whats wrong hun?" He looked at me concerned. My mom looked at him horrified,perhaps by the use of the word 'hun' and me calling him Frankie. I guess the idea of dating didn't occur to her.
"Can you stay the night?" I asked as my mom's look of terror got worse and she looked close to passing out.He let out a low gutteral laugh.
"I don't think they'll allow that...." He began.
" WhY wouldn't they let your cousin Frankie stay?" My mom said winking "just keep off of each other and keep your clothes on and you'll be fine" Frank and I laughed together.
We didn't even bother pointing out we weren't 'together'.
"Thanks mom." I croaked and she leaned in to hug me. A nurse walked in ushering Frank out.
"Sorry hun only immediate family in when we give you your results" one of the nurses said giving one of those fake smiles.
"But Frank's my cousin...." I said hoping she'd buy it.
"I know hun. I know." she winked "your boyfriend can come back in when we give you your results" with that she closed the blinds and the door. My mom gripped my hand hard as the doctor walked towards me with his menacing clipboard.
