The Fantasy

Mikey sat in the blue plastic chair, opposite an empty table; his eyes focused upon the door at the far end of the room. A bell rang overhead, signally the start of visiting hours. He folded his arms against his chest, sitting back in the chair as he kept an eye out for his so called brother. After the copious amount of visiting letters he had received this month he thought, with the blessing of his soon to be wife, he ought to go. Gerard hardly ever sent letters about visiting so this had to be important.

Otherwise he would have continued to let him rot in prison.

He watched from a distance as Gerard walked through the door, dressed in a orange jump suit as he strode towards him. A huge grin began to form on his face as he walked towards his brother; who soon noticed the tired eyes and haggard face. Clearly prison hasn’t been kind to you he thought bitterly as Gerard sat down in front of him, linking his hands together on the table. “Hello Mikey… my my how you’ve grown” he said, eyeing him up and down. Mikey narrowed his eyes at him, shaking his head. “I didn’t come here for pleasantries Gee, now tell me what you want?” He sneered. Gerard smiled, leaning back in his chair, the sense of arrogance that surrounded him infuriated Mikey, how could he act like this after everything he had done? He made him sick.

“I take it Frank doesn’t know your here?” Gerard asked, raising an eyebrow at his brother. He said nothing, if he was honest, neither him or Caterina could bring themselves to do it. He had been so happy these past few months that they didn’t want to ruin it. “Didn’t think so” Gerard added, his voice cold and angry as he folded his arms. Mikey stared at him wide eyed for a moment, did he really expect Frank to come? Is that what this was? He was more selfish than he remembered. “Fuck off Gerard you know damn well I haven't Besides, haven’t you put him through enough? Let him get on with his life. He’s happier without you” he replied scornfully.

Gerard sat there in silence, almost as though he was considering that as an option. He nodded slowly, the smile slowly returning to his face as he leaned forward; making sure he had Mikey’s full attention. “I’m sure he is, but that’s not why I called you. I’m up for early release” he said triumphantly. Mikey sat there, stunned into silence. This couldn’t be possible. How, after everything he had done, could he be up for early release? He was dangerous, a vile and disgusting man who nearly drove his best friend to suicide. How could he possibly be allowed back into society? “No…no I won’t believe it”. Gerard threw his back, laughing hysterically, turning a few heads in the room. The laughter was quickly cut short as he stared back at Mikey with venomous eyes, his face suddenly completely serious as though he meant business. “Believe what you like, I know from experience that you do” He taunted rising from his seat and preparing himself to leave.

“Oh, and tell Frank I’ll be seeing him soon. I’ll be seeing him real soon” he called out hatefully as he walked back to his cell, leaving Mikey feeling shaken and afraid. He needed to tell Frank, he had no choice. Theres no way he’ll be allowed near Frank? Surely he still has a restraining order against him? Mikey thought worriedly as he walked out of the prison. Theres no way Gerard can get to him again, no way in hell…… right?

So Gerard is up for early release...how will this affect Frank and Patrick
But worse, what will happen to Frank if Gerard tracks him down?
