Thoughts Of The Past

I look in front of us and there was a... Drac?
and worse it was asking who we were.
great we can't just say...
'Hey where all killjoys and where meant to be dead but whew not'
i felt Gerard nudge me with his shoulder and motioned onwards the pocket in my suit.
i felt some sort of shape in it and when I pulled it out it was an ID?
it had my name and other information I guess is needed to enter battery city.
Gerard walked up to the drac and showed his ID.
the drac let him pass and it was my turn.
i showed my ID but the drac kept looking into my face. I was getting worried until it said I could pass.
Frank made it through with ease and we were all in.
i looked around and from memory it hadn't looked like it had changed much if not at all.
Tall buildings that where just white or grey.
small houses that where also white or grey.
Crowds of white with black bobbing head walking around.
Everythinf looked oddly the same.
all the same colours, the same blandness.
i some one nudge my shoulder and I heard a simple word 'come' turned to see Gerard and frank walking off into the crowds.
I tried to follow them but there where so many people.
i couldn't even push through and every one looked the same so I couldn't easily make them out.
I kept pushing until I saw them standing at a house looking worried and turning in circles.
i walked up to them and touched franks shoulder.
he quickly turned and hugged me like there was no tomorrow.
"we thought we lost you" Gerard said joining into our hug.
we stood like this for a bit.
just enjoying the company of each other.
then Gerard backed out.
"well now where all here let's go find jobs shall we?"
he said while holding his hand out.
We all linked arms and head towards a tall building.
it looked the same as every other building.
Why can't there be any colour?
