Summary
'The more people I'm dead to, the closer I am to actually being dead.'
Gerard Way is bullied, they used to do it much worse although they have laid off a bit now, however it has ruined him and he has the scars to prove it. He developed depression, anxiety, started self-harming and thinking constatnt thoughts of suicide.
Just when it seemed he had hit rock bottom and was prepared to end it all, a new face appeared in his life in the form of Frank Iero.
Frank seemed to be always cheery, despite his personal problems, and would go out of his way to cheer Gerard up. Gerard's life improved until he realised that he liked Frank in a way that being friends would never satisfy for.
Gerard suddenly shoots downwards again, knowing that his love for Frank would have to go unsaid if there is any chance of preserving their friendship.
Characters
Frank Iero
Is quite small for his age of sixteen. Upbeat and cheery, doesn't let anything get him down. Kind, generous, good natured and a loyal friend. Once befriending Gerard he see's that Gerard is broken and makes it his mission to fix him. Finds himelf caring about Gerard more than he thinks he should be.
Gerard Way
Depressed. Suicidal. Anxious. Nothing seems to go right for him. Is kind at heart but the years of ruthless bullying he experienced has made him more closed and self-reliant. Finds himself drawn to Frank Iero in a way he has never been drawn to someone before. Tries his best but always feels close to giving up.
