I'm Just A Normal Teenager

I made my way downstairs from my long 'sleep'. Gerard and Frank's moaning kept me up. Even though it was muffled by the wall, you could still here it farely clearly. I decided to myself that today I was going to call the girl from the coffee shop and ask her if she wanted to meet up. I pulled her card out of my nightstand drawer and reached over for my phone, which was sitting a few metres away from me.

I dialled her number into the phone and anxiously waited for her to pick up. There were a couple of muffled voices in the background before I heard a sweet 'hello' from the other line. "Hey it's the guy from the coffee shop, the one that was with the guy who called you mum." I said twiddling my thumbs nervously. "Oh hey, I was going to ring you but then I realized I didn't have your number." Giggles were exchanged at this seemingly dumb moment before the muffled voices returned again. 'Who the fuck would want to call you?' A man said from the other line. "Hello, are you still there?" I asked feeling worried that she might have hung up on me.

There was a long silence before she spoke once again. "Yeah I'm still here." She said. "Okay, do want to go get a coffee with me." I asked nervous that she'd reject me. "Yeah sure, can you do now?" She asked almost desperate to get out. "Sure, meet me there in 20 minutes." I said feeling happy that I had the courage to ask a girl out.

I ran around my room frantically trying to find something nice to wear. I ruffled through my drawers and came across a black Metallica tee and grey skinny jeans. I slid them on and went into the bathroom to check my hair. I looked in the mirror and pulled the long blonde strands back to make a sort of flat quiff. Once I felt satisfied how I looked, I threw on my black converse and ran out of my room and down the stairs.

"Be home soon." Gee said after I told him where I was going. "I can't garuntee that." I said with a smile from ear to iero. (Lol) I skipped my way over to my car and slid into the drivers seat. I set off to Starbucks with my hands twitching on the steering wheel. When I arrived at Starbucks, I parked into the car park closest to the door.

I walked in the door and noticed that she wasn't here yet. I wondered why until I realised that I was like 10 minutes early. I cursed to myself knowing that I couldn't buy a coffe until Alecia was here. To pass the time I pulled out my phone and texted Gee.

Me: 'hey gee, I just realised im 10 mins early text me'
Geebro:P: 'what an idiot you are'
Me: 'shut up you'd probs do the same'
Geebro:P: 'you wanna bet'
Me: 'sure how much?'
Geebro:P: 'you lose, you buy me beer'
Me: 'Gee you know you aren't supposed to drink that anymore'
Geebro:P: 'oh come on mikes, just this once'
Me: 'no and I gotta go anyway'
Geebro:P: 'okay bye mikes'
Me: 'seeya'

I turned to see Alecia standing in the doorway. I greeted her with a friendly smile. She returned the smile and started walking over to me. I patted the seat next to me to show her to sit down. "Hey, how are you?" She asked trying to make small talk. "I'm good. What was happening on the phone before?" I asked making myself sound genuinely worried. "Oh nothing, it was just my dad, he argues with me a lot and you happened to call during one." She explained. "Oh sorry." I said as the awkwardness washed over me. "It's fine, I was actually glad you called." She said starting to smile again. "So what's your name?" She asked. "Oh, it's Mikey, sorry I forgot to tell you before." I said embarrassed. "Nice name." She said giggling at me. "Why are you laughing at me?" I questioned giggling at her sudden laughing fit. "I don't know, it's just I've never heard a mix between Mike and Michael before." She explained. "Well now you have." I said smiling at her shitty reason.
