And You Don't Know A Thing About This Life
Chapter 2
Gerard's POV
This kid looked like he was dying in his seat as I drove out of the school. Frank took in a deep breath of air and sighed heavily. "How's the weather going?" I asked out of a sudden, and the guy got a jump scare, which made me smile slightly.
"See for yourself, Mr. Way." Wow, way to end the conversation.
I parked by a Starbucks and ordered an espresso for myself, and a frappucino for Frank, even when he refused to let me buy something for him. Most kids his age accept this type of stuff with nothing but a 'thanks' as they consume it whole. But not Frank, he was somewhat different. Frank wanted to stay inside, but I insisted we stay outside in the light, because I was pale and needed the light, and so did Frank. "Hey, Frank, what do you do in your spare time?"
"Pansy, she's my darling, and I play her when I have the chance. Guitar is one of my hobbies."
"I play guitar," I started, and Frank was silent. For a few moments I was silent too until I sighed. "Who am I kidding, I can't play shit. Not even twinkle twinkle."
He laughed. "Come on, don't be so hard on yourself." Frank toyed with his straw, and hadn't even tasted his beverage. I frowned. "Frank, are you okay?"
Frank nodded, his hazel grey eyes reflecting through mine. "Totally. Everything's okay."
I had trouble believing him. I don't know why. "You got any friends, Frank?"
"Not really," he replied. All my conversations were ended by Frank's simple answers and small comments. I decided to take it back a notch.
"So, your music taste..."
"You wouldn't like it, most people hate it."
I nodded in understanding. "Most people hate mine too. Apparently Pink Floyd, Smashing Pumpkins, Black Sabbath, Misfits, Green Day,The Ramones, Attila and so on is considered terrible."
"No way, I love them too!"
