Show me how to lie, you're getting better all the time..
I woke up to the sound of The Offspring's blaring in my ear, telling me it was time to get up. I had been here for a week and I was starting my new school today with Mikey. I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous. I was nervous as hell. What would they think of me? I looked like a vampire gone wrong. With my bright red hair and pale skin. I sighed and climbed out of bed. I padded over to the bathroom and stepped in. I took all my clothes off and stepped in the shower

5 minutes later I came out with just a towel wrapped around my waist. I walked over to my dresser and got out my boxers, I slipped them on. I threw the towel on my bed and padded over to my closest. I opened and stood there, contemplating my options. Black skinny jeans, or more black skinny jeans. I picked a pair that wasn't too tight but still tight enough, got to at least make a good impression. I got out a Misfits shirt and slipped it on. Lastly I got my black and white striped jacket and slipped it on over my t-shirt. I put on my beat up red converse and walked back over to my bathroom. I brushed my teeth and applied my black eyeliner. I smudged it to make it have a smokey look, but not too much like a girl. I still need to make some man points wearing eyeliner. I grabbed my bag and upstairs

I got into the kitchen and sat down at the kitchen table waiting for Mikey to finish eating his toast.

"Gerard, are you ready to start your new school today?" Mom asked as she walked in dressed for work. She works as a lawyer (idk if that's true i just picked a random job). Over the past week, I had gotten comfortable calling her mom. I actually felt safe enough to do it.

"Umm sure," I mumbled. I may feel comfortable, but there was no way in hell that I was going to tell her how I actually felt. She smiled and ruffled her hair, I blushed and ducked.

Mikey was finally finished with his breakfast, he grabbed his bag and rushed out the door with me following closely behind. We walked down to the bus stop where a bunch of high schoolers where buzzing around. I noticed Mikey start to make his way over to a guy with this epic fro. I followed him and awkwardly stood behind him.

"...and then, I shit you not, he fucking threw up all over me!" I heard the fro guy tell Mikey.

Mikey laughed ad the fro guy looked around until his eyes landed on me standing there awkwardly behind Mikey.

"Hey Mikes, who's your new friend?" Fro guy asked.

"Hmm what?" Mikey asked still laughing, "Oh that's Gerard, a foster child my parents are fostering. Gerard, Ray; Ray, Gerard.: He made introductions. I inclined my head to him and nodded, he nodded back. By this time the bus had gotten and everyone was climbing up, I climbed on too and sat in the only open seat, the seat in the very front. Mikey or Ray didn't even sit with me. I sighed and put my earphones in, mentally getting myself ready to start at hell, or better known as school.
