I'm Okay Now

As soon as forth period bell rang, everyone was dismissed to lunch. I caught up with the usual group, Kendall, Alicia, and lily and say at the nearest lunch table.
"So what are the plans for Halloween?" Kendall asked once we all got settled down. I've completely forgotten that it was already two months into the school year. It was if it was just yesterday when I ran up to lily seeing her for the first time all summer.
"My parents aren't home if you guys wanna come over and party" lily added.
Alicia was acting really guilty and she wasn't trying to hide it. Her shoulders were draping along her body and her face never seemed to stop facing the floor "Seems good" she added in a quiet tone.
"I guess I'll tag along" I said. "Hey Alicia?"
"Yea?" Her voice was all shaky.
"Do you have a swim suit I can borrow? Tomorrow is me and you know who's anniversary. He wants to take me to the beach but my bathing suites are at my dad's house." I still haven't told Kendall or Lilly about me and Gerard, and I have no intention to.
"Sure! I have one that would look incredible on you!" She told me, forcing a smile. "and umm about Mikey..."
"I know" I told her. "He's actually holding up pretty good."
"I'm really happy to hear that. I'm still confused about my love for him. I think it's best if we both lay low for a little."
"I agree"
As soon as the bell rung signaling the end of school, the hallways were flooded with students. It took me a while to get to my locker and make my way over to mikes. When I found him we left the crowded school building and made our way into town to do some shopping. It was highly convenient that town wasn't more than a five minute walk from school, and it had a great selection of stores.
"So what do you think I should get him?" I asked Mikey who was walking right beside me.
"He's been wanting to get a leather jacket for a while but has never had time to actually get one."
"Oh! Good idea!" We walked into the leather shop and started looking around the racks that contained the jackets.
"Do you need any help?" A sales man asked me.
"Uh yea, actually. I'm looking for a jacket for my boyfriend. Black leather and preferabley shiny.
"Ah I know where you wanna look."
I followed him to the back of the store where there was another rack full of jackets that I described to him.
"So you can look around, and ask me if you need anything."
"Thanks." I responded as I began looking threw at the jackets of all different styles and sizes. They were all so beautiful, I had having a hard time picking one. If I were to bring him any one of these, I know he would like it. But it's a matter of picking the right one that stands out from the rest. Suddenly my hand stopped moving as my eyes came to contact with the most beautiful leather jacket I have ever seen.
"Mikey!" I called over to him. He stopped looking threw the rackes and came over to me. I showed him the jacket and his mouth dropped to the ground.
"Katy! That's perfect!" He gasped. It was black and was covered in silver zippers in all the right places that would make it shine in the sunlight. "Geez Kat, can I be your boyfriend so I can get incredible gifts like that!?"
"Haha you wish!" I smiled as I playfully punched him on the shoulder. Out of everything in the store, I just know he would like this the best. We walked over to the cash register and I handed the cashier the money. Since town was sorta a halfway mark between school and the ways house, we got home in no time.

this is probably one of the most shittyest chapters that I have ever written but it's hella hot in New Jersey and I find it uncomfortable to write in the heat.
