I'm Okay Now

When we left it must have been 9 o'clock and the sky was a beautiful shade of dark blue as the hues got lighter towards the horizon.
"Where too now?" I asked my boyfriend as we returned to the car. Boyfriend. I loved to use that word, and it seemed like it could never get old to me. Every time I thought about it I got this warm fuzzy feeling inside, but that's what they call love. I also loved saying that word as well, it made me feel like I should be alive in a way and it's not just a word. It's an emotion that I share with Gerard. I'm actually loved by someone and that someone just happened to be the greatest boyfriend I could ask for.
"Now we go out for dinner. In the city!" He spoke. I never been to the city before which it kinda hard to believe considering I lived in jersey all my life but it seemed alittle scary to me. Surrounded by a lot of people in such a large populated area, but I was also really excited. So many people tell me how beautiful it is and from what I just saw it must be. Being surrounded by thousands of lights and tall buildings towering over you seems like something that would only happen in a dream. Come to think about it this whole night feels like a dream, it seemed to perfect to be true. If it is I never want to wake up. We took off speeding down the quiet back road with the wind pounding against our faces. I just felt so free, unstoppable. Having my boyfriend next to me and the wind in my face with the music playing louder then my thoughts, I felt free.
"WHOOO!" Gee yelled as he picked up more speed. By now we where going at least 75mph but surprisingly I wasent scared. When I looked down at Gerard his black hair was flying backwards making him look 3 times cuter, if that was possible. I rose from my seat and raised my hands above my head like they do in the movies. The wind was playing around with my hair and my heart was pounding loud enough you'd think it was bound to jump out of my chest
"WHOO!" I screamed loud enough for the whole neighborhood to hear, not giving a damn if anyone did.
"Make sure you have your seatbelt on tightly, hon" Gerard ordered.
"Yep! Make sure you don't crash!" I could hear him let out a laugh
"Oh Katy" he chuckled " I don't crash" I continued to throw my hands up in the air and felt the crisp autum wind brush against my face pulling back my hair. By now we started to approach the city at normal speed and I can clearly see all the tall buildings in the distance. I took in a deep sigh before sitting back down in the passenger seat.
"Having fun?" He asked
"More then you could even imagine"

We parked the car just by Central Park and took a walk around. It was a very nice area and I loved watching all the animals Rome free. I saw a duck get caught in a thorn bush but gee rescued it in a matter of seconds before any harm was done, now we where and headed towards Times Square. New your city was even better then I imagined, it was so open and beautiful and spending the night with gee made it so much better.
"So where would you like to go?" He asked as I took ahold of his hand, noticing the crowd started to get busier by the second.
"You choose. I'm kinda in the mood for a cheese burger though"
"Well then I know the right place. Make sure you hold onto me the whole time, where going into Times Square and it's always crowded there" I listend to what he said and got a better grip on his arm, never wanting to let go.
Well he was right time square was crowded but it was also very pretty with all the tall buildings and lights surrounding you from every angle. The sky was turning darker each minute but it only made the lights stand out more. It was as if you kept your eyes glued to the floor then you wouldent notice the diffrence between night and day. I followed him into a restaurant that was crowded with people everywhere. It was called "the Hard Rock Cafe" and there was a line going out the door. He dident even bother to jump in line, I followed him down the stairs and by the reservation desk skipping the whole line.
"Hi! Table for two?" He asked.
"Um the wait will be aproxementally 4 hours" the waiter spoke
"I'm Gerard way" he said so confidently as if it was going to make a diffren-
"Oh my goodness Gerard! My apologies! In sorry I dident recognize you with the new hair!" What? She acted as if she just met her favorite celebrity and accidentally called them by the wrong name.
"Don't sweat it! It's fine!"
"Okay mr.way. I'll get you two the next available seats, once again I apologize for the misunderstanding"
Before I knew it they had two bar seats available that we got a hold on in a matter of minutes.
"What was that about" I asked as I plodded myself up on the padded stool that over looks the huge flatscreen tv playing a music video.
"What was what?"
"I mean why where you just able to skip the line, and why did that girl act like she killed someone when you said your name"
"Oh. That's because I'm hired to play a gig here every now and then with Mikey and two other friends. So they know me pretty well"
"Oh! I didn't know Mikey plays anything"
"Ya, he plays the bass, and he's really good at it to"
"Let me guess you get lead vocals?"
"How did you know"
"C'mon with a voice like yours it's hard not to believe"
"Awe thanks kate!" He said, leaning forward to kiss me, which of course I accepted in an instant.
"Hi guys! Oh hey Gerard good to see you again!" The waitress began as she approached our table "anyways I will be your server tonight! Can I start you guys off with a drink?"
"Beer please" Gerard said almost instantly.
"Me too!" I joked. I was only kidding so when the waitress said okay and walked away I was shocked. "She didn't even ask for id" I recalled.
"Katy I'm not going to let you drink beer. Your underage and it's wrong"
"Please gee? I won't even have that much, besides I got drunk many times before, it's not like one small beer will make a difference."
"Since when did you drink beer" he questioned, sounding very worried
"When you have an alcoholic dad who dosent give a shit you tend to do stupid things out of curiosity" he just shrugged his shoulders out of annoyance when I could tell he wasn't happy about the decision I made.
"Fine! But your not aloud to have the whole thing. You are my responsibility tonight and the very last thing I want to see is you getting hurt."
"I love you" I said in a childish voice as I softly nudged him in the shoulder.
"I love you too"
