I'm Okay Now

My alarm clock woke me upat 6am. ugh I thought to myself, another day not worth living. I rolled over still half asleep and almost fell off of my very small bed. This is why I hated school,because it involved mornings. Today was the first day of my senior year actully, and I was not looking foward too it, but hey, at least I wont be stuck at home everyday with my acloholic dad. It was just me, him and my big sister living in our small house. Ever since my mom died, things changed. Thats when my dad became an alcoholic, my sister started to use drugs and me? Well I slowly fell apart and became depressed. I really wish I had a perfect life you know like one with caring perfect parents a little sister to love and happieness, but apparently that wasent the life for me.
I slowly crawled out of bed and got dressed in ripped jeans and my favorite 'falling in reverse' shirt. looking in the mirror made me realizing I was not ready to return to school after a long summer break. I trotted down the stairs whail brushing my long electric blue hair to one side of my face. As I turned the corner of my hallway I noticed my dad still passed out drunk on the couch.. again. Rolling my eyes I grabbed my backpack off the hanger and walked out the door.
the walk Dosent take longer then 10 minutes which is good considering I would have to walk to and from school everyday. As I approached the building I herd someone screaming my name from behind me.
"Katy!!!" The voice said as it started to get louder and louder the more I walked away.
I turned over to see my best friend Lily running in my direction. I was really surprised to see her again, and I missed her which felt pretty weird considering I haven't missed anyone after my mom died.
"hey Lily whats up? I haven't seen you all summer, how was your 3 month long camp?" I asked as She gripped me tight into a bear hug and answered all my questions. It was great to see her again, after all my only friend had to go away all summer so I was left at home with my dad for a whole 3 months.
After sharing a few forced laughs and hugs we walked into the school togather preparing ourself for the rest of the year.
As we parted ways, I checked my agenda for the year, and apparently I had music, great. I always hated music class, even though music was my friend that stayed by my side, I hated to learn about it.
I walked into the classroom following everyone els and took the closest seat could find. A boy with dark hair took the seat next to me and smiled.
"Hi I'm Mikey, whats your name?" he said in a polite tone.
"Katy" I replied trying to put a small smile on my face. He was very kind and if I was going to sit next to him him for the rest of the year for music, I should probably make him my friend.'How was your summer" I asked trying to keep the conversation going.
'It was good! i-" he was cut off when the teacher walked through the door. I didn't know we had a new music teacher.
"hello class! as you may already know I am here to fill in for Ms. Gibson wail she is out having a baby. My name is Mr.Way and I am your new music teacher" I looked up at him as he continued to talk. Now I remember Lily mentioning something about a new music teacher but I wasn't paying much attention when she was speaking. Mr.Way was very young and had black hair that was the same color as the rest of his outfit, but with a white dress shirt under his vest. He must have been in his early twenties by his appearance. I looked at him and he looked over at me, still talking to the class. He gave me a quick, polite smile. Damn. I know he is my teacher but that smile, it was really warm and bright. I don't know what I was thinking, I told my self, he is just my teacher. He continued to talk about stuff that I couldn't care less about as I got lost in my thoughts.
**Gerard's POV**
I love music, not so much teaching but I need money for me and my little brother so why not. I walked into the classroom with the attendance papers in my hand. Since this is my first day teaching I decieded to make my welcome back speech quick. It began with the 'im your new teacher thing' and as I continued to talk I noticed that their was one student from all the others that stood out. She was sitting next to my brother and had beautiful blue hair. I got distracted for a moment and forgot where I was.
She looked up and we met eye contact with each other. I gave her a quick smile and she gave me a small one in return. Damn she was pretty. Wait what the fuck Gerard I told myself. Shes a fucking student, a kid.
I quickly snapped back into the real world. "ummmm" I thought out loud. 'since im just meeting all of you, when I call your name I want you to tell me what king of music you like to listen too, then some of your favorite bands and or artists." This was a stupid idea, but I needed something to wast time considering I didn't have anything planned for the first day of school,. I started to call out names that I read off of my attendence sheet. They all answered, none of which stood out.
"Katy" I said. I looked around the room to see the girl with the blue hair start to talk. She was quiet and clearly wasn't comfterable when it came to speaking infront of the whole class.
"Well I guess i like rock music. Like alternative rock, metal, hardcore. umm some of my favorite bands are... falling in reverse, black veil brides, fall out boy, and sleeping with sirens, percent the veil." I threw her a smile and dident even realize it. "That's cool! we have the same music taste" I commented, reminding myself not to be creepy. I checked the list of names once more only to realize that we where finished "and thats the end of the list" I stated with enthusiasm. "you may all talk quietly among eachother"
A half an hour later the bell rang. This was going to be a long first day.

Okay, like I said I started this whole story before and it's still up on this website. I'm making this word for word (thank you copy and paste) but I'm also making minor edits to make this the better version. I'll be posting a lot of chapters daily untill I'm all caught up.
