Some like to sleep, We like to play

Three weeks after Gerard gets home from tour I get violently sick. I vomit any time I eat anything and I can't even keep water down. My stomach hurts unbearably from the motion of throwing up with nothing in there and I am currently curled into a ball on the bed trying to not cry. Gerard is doing his best to take care of me and the kids but he's struggling and had to call Mikey around to help. I feel another clenching in my stomach and I lean over to vomit into the bucket beside the bed but instead of water and stomach acid what comes out is blood. Gerard walks into the room right as I vomit and when he sees what happened he says "Right that's enough. We're going to the hospital" as he wraps me in a blanket and picks me up. He carries me downstairs and I feel another wave of nausea hit causing my stomach to constrict and send a sharp pain shooting through me. I cry out in pain and Riley comes running out to us and says "Mommy sick." I try to smile at him but it doesn't last long as another jolt of pain shoots through my abdomen.
At the hospital I am admitted and put in bed on a drip to help keep me hydrated while the doctor runs tests. After a few hours the blood test comes back and the doctor comes in and says "Well we found the source of your nausea. Congratulations Mr and Mrs Way you're going to be parents." I stare at him in shock before I turn to Gerard and he see him smiling at me. "Oh my god baby" he gasps as he leans down and hugs me. By the time he pulls away the news has sunk in and I smile back. Then the vomiting blood resurfaces in my mind and I ask about it. "Well Mrs Way you have a very bad case of morning sickness and you actually tore your stomach lining a little which caused the bleeding. It will heal just fine and I will prescribe you some medication to ease the nausea" the doctor tells me before leaving the room.
Later that afternoon the doctor has told me I will be kept overnight for observation and Gerard has gone home to get Bandit and Riley so we can tell them the news. When they get back Gerard lifts Riley onto the bed and he crawls up and snuggles into my side with his head on my chest and says "Ok mommy?" I stroke his hair as I say "Yeah baby boy mommys ok." Gerard sits beside the bed and pulls Bandit onto his lap before saying "Guys mommy is going to have another baby. It's in her tummy right now but soon we'll be able to take it out and bring it home. Would you guys like that." Bandits eyes light up and she says "Baby." I smile over at her before turning my attention to Riley who is looking up at me curiously. "What's wrong Ry?" I ask and he says "In your tummy?" Before looking at my blanket covered stomach. "Yeah baby boy it's gonna grow in there and when it's big and strong enough to come out the doctor will take it out." He looks confused for a second before leaning down and pressing his face into my stomach. "What are you doing Ry?" He sits back up and says "Kissing baby." My heart melts and I hear Gerard chuckle before I pull Riley back into my side and wrap my arm around him, resting my hand on his stomach. His little fingers start to play with the tape holding my drip in and I tell him to be gentle with it.
