Just One More Bite

At that point, I decided it was best not to ask Frank who he really was. He was too hurt at the moment, and overwhelmed at everything I had basically spat on him. His head was rested over his knees as he curled up on the ground, depressed. His dry tears seemed to burn on his face, and he cringed every now and then. He sighed deeply.

"Damn, I'm sorry Gerard," he let out. " You're probably the closest friend I've ever had and I just bashed at you like that."

"No, you had every right to be upset," I replied. " I yelled at you to answer questions that didn't really need to be answered. I mean, you are you. And I love you for it."

He blushed. "Well, that's a relief. I like you too."

Did he mean he like liked me? Or liked me as a friend? I was too tired to even ask, but kept my eyes on those dry tears.

"You wanna wash up or something? You sure drowned yourself in those tears of yours."

He nodded, and headed to the restroom. I heard mumbling from the room, and guessed it must have been him talking to himself, or reminding himself or something. Frank's tone grew louder, and louder as he kept speaking. I couldn't make out what he was saying.

Until I heard something loud. Ear-splitting loud.

"NO!"
