The End.
Frank’s POV:
After about a week Mikey was released from the hospital. He still was covered in bruises but the swelling had subsided and his ribs were beginning to heal. I was driving Mikey home, Gerard and Lindsey were going to come over for dinner after their first doctors appointment for the baby. Mikey hadn't really talked about what happened while he was taken, and I was afraid that he'd regress and we would lose all the progress that we had made.
I quickly glanced at Mikey and saw that he was looking out the window. I decided to start a conversation,
“Mikey…I know what happened while you were gone. The doctor told me.”
Mikey looked at me with wide eyes, “H-he told you? I thought he wasn't allowed to.”
“Gerard gave him permission, I just want you to know that I don't care. It doesn't change anything between us okay?”
Mikey bit his lip and I saw tears form in his eyes. “How can it not change things between us. I was raped…I was used. I-I'm used goods Frank.”
I pulled into the driveway and slammed on the brakes. “Michael you look at me right now…that is not true. You are an amazing person and what those cowards did to you is despicable. But you are not used goods. I am honored that you chose me to share your life with. I love you and nothing is going to change that.”
A small smile made its way on his lips and tears ran down his cheeks, “You mean that?”
I grabbed his hand I kissed it gently, “Of course, for forever and a day.”
I grabbed Mikey's bag from the trunk and took his hand, we entered the house and I heard Mikey take a deep breath. I stroked the back of his hand in soothing circles, I could tell he was freaking out.
“Frank...did you get rid of the letters?”
I nodded, “Of course…and I installed a new security system so no one that we don't want in the house will ever come in again.” Mikey smiled and nodded in approval.
“I love you.” Mikey said, I looked up at him and smiled.
“I love you too Mikes, so much.”
Three Months Later:
Life just kept on getting better when Mikey was released from the hospital. I finished my internship and I'm in the process of opening my own practice. Gerard and Lindsay’s baby is going to be a girl and they picked a name Bandit Lee Way…I think it has a good ring to it. Mikey couldn't be more excited to be an uncle. Mikey…my Mikey, he's doing great. He's going to school to complete his high school education and plans on going to college in the fall. He still has some nightmares but with time they will continue to get better as are all his other problems. Just last week I saw him hug both Gerard and Lindsay without any trouble.
Currently Mikey and I are driving, he doesn't know where we are going and keeps asking questions. I pull into a parking space and get out of the car, I grabbed Mikey's hand and lead him to the water’s edge. Mikey looks around and realizes where we are, his brows are pulled down in confusion.
“Why are we here Frank? This is the place where James brought me.”
I nodded, “I know this seems weird, but…well this is where I first told you that I loved you,” The corners of Mikey's mouth pulled up into a smile, “And I didn't want somewhere so beautiful to be tarnished so I thought I'd bring you here and ask you a question.”
Mikey looks confused until I get down on one knee, “Michael James Way you are the most beautiful and amazing person I know. You are so special and I can't imagine my life without you. Mikey…will you marry me?” I pull out a box and reveal a simple silver band with a small ring of diamonds.
Mikey looked at me with wide eyes, my heart was pounding, anxious for him to answer. Slowly Mikey begins to move his head up and down, “Yes…yes I will.” He breathed. I grinned,slipped the ring onto his finger and kissed him passionately.
“Forever and a day right?” I hear Mikey whisper into my ear.
“Yes Mikes, forever and a day…I promise.”
