Burn Bright

I made my way over to Denny’s, when I walked in Gerard and I were the only ones in the restaurant, Gee had his head on the table and a coffee right in front of him. The waitress looked at me but I just pointed to Gerard and quietly sat down in front of him.

“How’s your head?” I asked. He jumped back then looked at me.

“It feels like I’ve been kicked by a horse.”

“Well I’m sorry for that.”

We entered an awkward silence after that and neither of us looked at each other.

“Look there something I need talk to you about.” I told him.

“Its 4 in the morning, if you didn’t want to talk I wouldn’t be here.” He snapped at me.

I closed my mouth and looked down at my hands, he never snapped at me so it kinda scared me. Gerard saw me looking down and I heard him sigh.

“Look I’m sorry; I just have a headache and a broken heart.” He said.

My eyes widened when he said that and I looked up to him. He was looking at me and in his eyes he just looked so defeated, he was breaking my heart now.

“I really don’t know how to come out and say this so I’m just going to say it.” I took a deep breath, “Last night while Andy and I were having sex, I-”

“Really? After I said my heart was breaking? You know you’re the reason why! Fuck you! And your husband to!” He shouted and slammed money down on the table stormed out of the small restaurant.

My mouth hung open as I watched him leave. When the door behind him closed I shout out of my seat and followed him. Next to Denny’s there was a park and he was walking pretty fast though the park. I stopped and called his name out a few times but all he did was flip me off and kept walking. So I did the only thing that seemed right. I tackled him.

He was walking on the grass so the fall shouldn’t hurt him, I took a running start and jumped on his back and sent him and I to the ground. When he had hit the floor, I rolled him over and straddled his wait and pinned his arms down.

“Will you let me finish!” I yelled in his face.

We stared into each other’s eyes he eventually gave in and nodded. I loosened my grip on his wrists and let him sit up. But I was afraid he would leave so I stayed sitting in his lap and kept my legs wrapped around his waist and I held him tight. He placed his hands on my lower back so I wouldn’t fall back.

“Can you get off me, please?” He asked nicely.

“No.”

“Fine.”

One of my hands was wrapped around his neck and the pther was on his cheek making him look me in the eyes.

“Last night while Andy and I were having sex,” Gerard’s eyes looked away from mine and fell to the ground, “I wanted it to be you.”

His eyes widened and snapped back to my face.

“What?” He asked, his hands that were on my back held me a bit closer to him.

“Every thrust, I wanted it to be you, every time I moaned, I wanted it to be you making me moan, when I woke up and saw my ring, I wanted you to be the one to give it to me. Gerard, I want you.”

I looked into his eyes before he closed the gap between our lips. It was a very passionate kiss, he was gentle and caring, just like it was when he kissed me when we were teenagers.

“Gerard,” I said when we broke apart, “We need a plan, I wanna be with you.”

“I wanna be with you to, so just break up with Andy and marry me.” He said and kissed me again.

“Well first of all I need a real proposal, second, I can’t just humiliate Andy like that, he proposed onstage, and he really, really loves me.”

“I understand.” He said and he rested his head against my forehead.

“Let’s keep us on the down low, and Andy and I will nonstop argue about the wedding and call the wedding off after some time.”

“I’m really gonna hate this.” He said but smiled at me, “But I really love you.

I was at warp tour last night and I got my phone stolen.... but its okay and I got a new one.
