***** A Few Months Later*******

“Do I really have to go?” Gerard asked as he pulled on his tie.

Gerard was going to be my date to Sean and Carly’s wedding. He didn’t want to go but he never says no to me, plus I needed a date. I was wearing the same dress I had worn to my parents when they told me they wanted me to marry some stranger, I tried to do my hair the same but it didn’t turn out the same, it was still pretty go. In the months living with the ways, not much has changed, except for the face Gerard now had a girlfriend.I met her, it was really hard not to like her but I tried.

“I don’t think Megan would like me going on a date with another female.” He said as I fixed his hair.

“I don’t think she would like the fact that I stole your virginity either but who cares, if it wasn’t for Carly we wouldn’t know each other.” I told him, I was getting kinda tired of him trying not to go.

“You okay?” He asked, he always knew when something was up with me.

“Yeah, it’s just a long drive and we should get going.” I said then walked away without letting him say anything back and got into the passenger seat of my car, there was no way I was driving with these heels.

Not long later Gerard came out and started to drive. The first half of the ride was silent; I was texting Carly telling her we were on our way.

“You gonna tell me whats bugging you?” He asked as we pulled into the building.

“Nothing.” I breathed out and unbuckled my belt, I was about to open my door but Gerard locked all the doors, prevent either of us from leaving.

“Really?” I asked.

“Yes, tell me what’s wrong.”

“Dude, it’s nothing. Were gonna be late, can we go?”

“Not until we talk, your good at hiding things, but not from me.” He smirked, I rolled my eyes.

“I just like this guy, and he happens to have a girlfriend.” I shrugged.

“How long have you liked this guy?”

“About 6 or so months.”

“And I didn’t know because…?”

“You wouldn’t understand, you’re a guy.”

“The second part is true but why wouldn’t you tell me, we share everything.”

I shrugged.

“I feel like we’re growing apart.” He whispered.

“Were going to be late.” I told him silently.”

He sighed and unlocked the door. As soon as I heard the click I left the car and headed into the ceremony to find Carly. We talked until it was time for her to walk down the aisle. I signed then took my seat next to Gerard, neither of us said anything to each other the entire ceremony, it was really awkward. When it came time to the party we were both the awkward ones sitting at the table while everyone else was out dancing.

During one of the slow songs Gerard stood up and walked over to me. I looked at him with a confused look, he offered his hand out to me and I was still confused but I took it. He lead me to the dance floor and put his hand on my hips and made me out my arms around his neck and he started to dance.

“Gerard, what are we doing?”

“Were reconnection.” He said and pulled me closer to him.

“What do you mean?”

“We’ve been distant lately, I don’t wanna lose my best friend.” He said.

I felt a few tears run down my face and Gerard wiped them away and kissed my cheek. I tucked my head into the crook of my neck and danced with him. I cried a bit in his arms, I tried not to make him notice but I had a feeling that he did. The rest of the wedding we kept talking and just getting closer with each other. It felt nice, we had been really distant lately and it was just a good feeling. When the wedding ended I had to drive because Gerard was drinking a bit, thanks to us paying off the bartender, I wasn’t drinking as much but I still had some. We got home a little past one in the morning and I had to walk Gerard to his room and tuck him into bed. I was about to go back into my room but Gee grabbed my wrist and pulled me on the bed.

“Sleep with me, it’s been a while since we had a sleep over.” He said.

“Okay,” I told him then removed my shoes and snuggled into his chest.

“I love you Gerard.”

“I love you to Kasey.”
