Life Happens

Ah yes the glorious hell parents call school. This one looked even more hellish due to the fact that I knew no one here. Thanks a lot Dad. Walking in the front doors I strode confidently to the front desk and asked the lady for my schedule.
"Go to room 18 and your teacher will assign your seat, Ms. Jones will be guiding you around the school today." After making my way into the classroom the teacher instructed me to sit in the middle row next to a chubby kid with black, greasy hair.
" Awesome," I thought sarcastically.
During the middle of the lesson he leaned over and whispered,
"I'm Gerard and that kid with the black and blonde hair over there is Frank, you're welcome to sit with us at lunch today if you want to."
"Cool I'll think about it I'm Avery."
Gerard seemed nice enough and he didn't smell too bad for looking like he took showers once a year. Now Frank though, Frank was a hottie, but I was not developing crushes on the first day of my new school.
At the end of class a blonde preppy girl made her way to my desk. Chewing her gum way too loudly, she leaned on my desk and said,
"So you're the new girl huh? Nice to know we have another fat bitch to beat up."
Standing up from my desk and straightening to my full 5'7 height I snarled back,
"Oh honey, I'd be careful making threats when you might fall over on those 4 inch heels. What are you, a prostitute?"
At that she growled and turned away walking out of the classroom. Guess I'm not getting that girl who's supposed to be showing me around.
I sauntered out of the classroom trying to look confident, when really I had no idea where I was. A few minutes later I heard the bell ring and I still had no idea where I was or where I needed to be.
Until I ran into somebody much smaller than me.

Ok, so this is my first fic on here and I'm sorry if this sucks. my chapters will probably be longer and my updates will be at least within a week of each other.
