Precious Metals

Summary

Frank Iero is one of the handful of teens within the walls of Horizon City. The world outside of the city is a wasteland, full of the creatures that ate up the rest of the world. The Reapers. Shape-shifting blood crazed abominations of varying grotesque forms. Frank breaks the laws of the shambling city to search for his friend and finds a gut-wrenching truth.

Was this in any way inspired by By the Waters of Babylon by Stephen Vincent Benet? There's definitely some similarities. But of the good kind. You should definitely read it if you haven't.
