Everything Will Be Ok

“You’re moving out?!” I sighed. “Yes, I just said that.” I could hear the sound of the television in the background as we were both still on the phone. “But where are you going to stay? Aren’t motels awfully expensive?” I bit my lip nervously. “Well that’s why I called you. I wanted to ask if I could maybe move in with you.” She was silent for a second before she spoke up again. “Mikey, I don’t know-“I immediately cut her off. “Baby, please listen. If you let me stay with you and your folks for a month or two, I can get a job and save up some money until I can afford an apartment of my own.” I explained. “I guess it wouldn’t be too much trouble-““Oh thank you, thank you, thank you! I’ll be over in a second with my stuff.” Before she could even reply, I hung up my phone and hopped in my car. I looked back at my house one last time as I finally drove off for my girlfriend’s house.

***Lindsey’s POV***

Tears were streaming continuously down Gerard’s face now that Mikey had left. “Shh Gerard…its ok…” I whispered as I let him cry onto my shoulder. “H-he left m-me.” He choked out. “He’ll be back Gerard don’t worry.” I reassured him as he continued to sob. “N-no…I r-really screwed up this t-time.” My heart sank to see him like this. If only he knew how much I still cared about him, and how much I missed him. “I’m such a fuck up Lindsey.” He said, raising his head up. My eyes met his tear-stained eyes. “Gerard don’t say that-“He cut me off. “It’s the truth! Everyone I care about leaves me!” He cried out, burring his face into his knees. I could still hear the faint sobbing as he kept his face hidden from me. “Gerard look at me.” I demanded as he looked back up to face me. “You have me…” I said reaching my hand out to hold his. “B-but you left me for Mathew.” He said, his voice shaking from all the crying. “Gee I-I still love you…” He furrowed his eyebrows. “Y-you do?” I nodded. “Yes…I never stopped loving you…”I confessed. “Then why did you break up with me if you still loved me?” He questioned, as his tears finally came to an end. “Because Mathew was able to provide me with everything you couldn’t, like money and a house in the city.” Gerard brushed his raven locks out of his face to expose his beautiful, hazel eyes. “Oh…” He muttered softly. “But the last time I called you and that girl picked up, my heart broke.” He kept his gazes on me. “You mean Taylor?” I gave him a puzzled look. “I don’t know, I guess that was her name.” He scoffed. “Well she’s gone now.” He lowered his head. “What do you mean gone?” I asked curiously. “It doesn’t matter…she probably hates me anyways…” A single tear fell down his cheek. “Oh…I understand.” I replied sympathetically, followed by a long, awkward silence before he continued to speak again. “Lindsey?” I looked up again. “Yeah?” He stuttered. “C-can you please stay with me?” He said, his voice trembling. “Gee that’s not a good idea-““Please!” I sighed. “Just for tonight Lindsey. Please, I don’t want to be here alone.” He pleaded with childish eyes. “Alright…but just for tonight…” I said as he pulled me in closer and rested my head on his warm chest. “I’ve missed you Linds…” He groggily mumbled as I could smell the strong scent of rum in his breath. “I’ve missed you too Gee…”
