Chapter 45

After our long talk, Gerard walked over to his bedroom to rest after his busy day of work. To pass the time by, I decided to see what Mikey was up to. As I headed up the stairs and over to his room, I lightly knocked on his door. “Hey Mikey its Taylor. Can I come in?” I asked politely. There was no response. Thinking that he may have not heard me, I knocked again only louder this time. “Mikey, you in there?” I asked curious on why he wasn’t answering me. There was still no reply. As I began to get a bit worried, I barged in through the door, only to find his room empty. Where the hell was he? I frantically looked all over the house for him, while calling his name. There was no sign of him. Maybe he’s just at his bass lessons or something like that. I just shrugged it off and walked back down the stairs to the living room.

An hour went by and Gerard was still asleep and Mikey still hadn’t arrived yet. As I was bored out of my mind, I decided to go for a short walk just to clear my mind and think over things. Getting tired from the afternoon heat, I quickly sat down on a park bench. Several minutes went by and I was getting ready to leave, when I spotted a familiar face entering the park. It was Mikey. I was about to approach him when I realized that he was in the company of someone else. A girl. Who the fuck was she? I kept myself out of sight the best I could, as I tried to figure out who the mysterious girl was. My questions were finally answered when I saw her place a big slobbery kiss onto Mikey. I gasped. Mikey never told me he had a girlfriend! I frantically tried my best to stay hidden as I sneaked behind the trees and ran as fast as I could back to Gerard’s house.

I finally entered through the front door, when I saw that Gerard was now up. He was making his usual evening coffee as he turned to face me. “Where were you?” He asked furrowing his eyebrows. “I just went for a walk that’s all. “Oh ok.” He replied, taking a large gulp of his coffee. “And where’s Mikey?” He asked calmly. “I-I don’t know…I haven’t seen him all afternoon…” I lied. “That’s weird. He might be at a friend’s house or something. I’ll call him later.” He replied, being the least bit worried. “So Taylor…” He began. “Yeah?” I asked waiting for him to finish his sentence. “I was thinking…Would you maybe wanna go do something with me this weekend?” He slurred. “What do you have in mind?” He shrugged. “Well maybe we could go see a movie or go to the beach or something.” A wide grin spread across my face. “I haven’t been to the beach in years!” I exclaimed. “Alright, so do you wanna go there?” I nodded. “Yeah, it will be fun!” He chuckled at my excitement. “It’s supposed to be in the high 90’s on Saturday, so we will go then.” I gave him a quick peck on the lips. “Great. Can’t wait!” He blushed. “I love you Taylor.” He whispered. “I love you too Gerard.”
