"Hey." Gerard said, his eyes bright and excitable, his tone chilled out.
"Hi." Frank replied, his eyes bright and excitable, his tone slightly choked.
Frank felt his heart bubbling again, this time he didn't ignore it, he embraced it, it made him smile.
It made Mikey smile too, he was leaning lankily against the radiator in the corner of the garage.
You could just see the dust motes swirling around the air. It was a cold winters morning, yet it had a feeling of new beginnings to it, even though most people think of spring for that.
The air outside was just clearing up and it tasted nice to inhale, the bitter wind gave your senses a sharpness that helped you concentrate. Things were looking up, for some.
"Here's the notes, play along if you know the song" Gerard said to Frank, he could sense his closeness, it made him feel warmer.
"Green Day, yeah I know it, American Idiot?"
Gerard nodded to Frank "And this? "Cars and Calories" by Saves The Day?"
He studied the sheet carefully and nodded "Uh huh, I like this song." Frank said shyly, Frank was never shy.
"So do I, good to wave your arms and legs about to." Gerard said begging to demonstrate.
"Um you don't have to...' But he had already got his iPod out and started kicking his leg out and waving his arms about like a possessed chicken.
"Gee, you don't wanna scare him away!" Mikey said, laughing, but Frank wasn't scared, not at all, he was so interested that this normally so quiet boy was opening up in front of him, it just made him smile.
"Nah, don't worry. S'okay" Frankie added, an amused look in his eyes.

The music flowed around the room electrically, like a current, it zinged in the air and when it cut off, so painfully beautiful they all sighed. This was all of there musical abilities put into the world at the same time "Skylines and Turnstiles this one's called." Gerard said quietly, giving them all a sheet of paper and going off to get his flask of coffee.
"So," said Mikey. Approaching Frank. "Gerard."
Frank felt his cheeks flushing scarlet.
"What about Gerard?"
"He's a great guy." Mikey stated, but he also sounded as if he was reassuring him of something, but he didn't quite get what.
"Yes." Frank agreed, "Well I better get going. Bye everyone!"
They all congratulated each-other on how well the practice went, then they all said goodbye to each-other and went off their separate ways, Mikey headed off to his workplace, the library.
