Our Lady Of Sorrows

"You cant skip." I whinnied gently pushing him. I was to weak to up a fight.

"Watch me." He smirked and I rolled my eyes at him and closed my eyes. I was not feeling good at all.

"You really don't look so hot." He told me and placed his hand on my forehead, I whimpered.

"I'm dizzy, like beyond dizzy." I said closing my eyes, my head was swirling all over the place and it was making me sick. "I think I'm gonna be sick." I said covering my mouth.

Before I knew it Gerard had lifted me from my bed and carried me bridal style to the toilet in my bathroom and placed me in front of it. I muttered a 'thank you' before I once again spilled the contents of my stomach into the white porcelain seat. Soon Gerard was behind me pulling my hair away from my face, whispering nice words to me.

"Go away." I told him as I weakly pushed him away, "You don't need to see this." I said as I threw up again.

"Try all you want, I'm not leaving." He said sternly.

When I finished Gee flushed the toilet and sat me on the top and began to fill up a glass of water for me. As he handed it to me, my mother walked in with a curios look.

"Are you okay sweetheart?" She asked as she came over to me and put her hand on my forehead, similar to what Gerard did earlier.

"I don't feel good." I informed her, "I'm not going to school."

She nodded then noticed Gerard in the bathroom with me.

"Oh," She looked surprised, "And you are?"

"I'm Gerard, Elizabeth's boyfriend," He said sticking out his hand to shake my mothers, "We have meet before."

"Must have slipped my mind." She laughed and shook his hand then turned to me, "Will you be okay on your own?" She asked.

"I'm staying with her to take care of her." Gerard told her.

She nodded and started to leave but paused at the door that led into my room.

"Oh, Elizabeth," I looked up to her, "Cover up." She told me then left.

I looked down and realized I was still only wearing my bra and underwear, my face started to burn as Gerard laughed and removed his hoodie he was wearing and tossed it over to me. As he pulled it off, his shirt rose up a bit, just enough for me to see his well toned abs. I bit my lip, he caught me staring and smirked at me. I shook it off and pulled on the hoodie then proceed to brushing my teeth to get rid of the nasty taste in my mouth.

"Is it the flu or something?" He asked.

"I don't think I came in contact with anyone who had the flu." I said pondering the thought.

"Maybe we should take you to the doctor something?" He suggested.

"A doctor bill is expensive."

"Free clinic?"

"Is there one in this town?"

"Yeah, the local hospital opened one a few years ago."

"I wanna eat first."

"So you can throw it back up?"

I sighed in defeat. As I pushed myself away from the sink a wave of dizziness flooded over me and I would have fallen if it weren't for Gerard standing there to catch me. He set me down on my bed and walked over to my clothes while I helped my head in between my knee's, trying to make myself feel better. He came back with one of my sweat pants and helped me put them on. Once they were one he helped me downstairs and set me on the sofa while he got me a bottle of water. He wouldn't let me get up until I had drunken half of it.

"Okay, lets get you to the clinic." He told me as he helped me into his car.

"This is unnecessary." I complained when he got there.

"Were already here so why not?" He said getting out of the car and coming over to my side and opening the door for me, "Can you walk on your own or do you need me to carry you?"

"I can walk." I said standing up, I was still kinda dizzy so I clung onto Gerard for support.

There weren't many people in the clinic so we were seen rather quickly.

"Alright Elizabeth-" The doctor started.

"Liz." I interrupted

"Alright Liz," She smiled, "What seems to be the problem here?"

"I've been nausea's, running a fever and kinda dizzy." I told her.

"Kinda? She almost fell over twice." Gerard told her.

"And you are?" The doctor asked Gerard.

"Her boyfriend, I've been taking care of her." He informed her.

"Okay," She turned back to me, "It sounds like your pregnant, or have the flu. Are you sexually active?"

I shook my head.

"Well all rightly then, I'll be back with a flu test." She stood up and left.

While we were waiting, I was chewing on the inside of my lip out of boredom. When I looked over to Gerard, he was biting his lip and he looked lost in thought.

"Earth to Gee!" I waved my hands in front of his face and his eyes widened when I got his attention.

"What? Sorry."

"What were you thinking about?"

"Uh, when the doctor asked if you-" He was interrupted by the doctor coming back in.

"Here we are, so, I'm gonna take a swab of the back of your throat. Okay?"

I closed my eyes and gripped the bed I was sitting on, I hated this. Gerard's chuckle echoed through the room and he walked over to me and pulled me in his lap and held my hands. I opened my mouth and let the doctor do her thing, it was so uncomfortable. When she finished she left with the test but then came back in a few minutes later.

"Well, you don't have the flu. You must just have some bug going around, just take it easy, alright?"

"Okay thank you." I told her and we left.

The whole car ride didn't say anything, I didn't want to interrupt whatever was going on inside his head. When we pulled into my driveway, he didn't unlock my car door, he just sat their staring at the wheel. I wouldn't have minded but I really had to pee.

"Um, Gerard." I said waving my hands once again in front of his face. "I kinda have to-"

"We need to talk."
